ASICS Men's GT-1000 8 Shoes

I bought a size 12 1/2 as I normally wear a 12 in dress shoes. These feel great. Love the colors as well. They stand out!

Liked the shoe even tho the color that showed on my order was different then what I received. Next time I buy a pair of shoes ill just wait and go to walk in store.

I was looking for a replacement for my NB 990's, which have become ridiculously expensive (they are now $175, I used to be able to get them for around $125, which was already pushing the affordability limit). I need stability for pronation (flat feet) and thought I'd give these a try based on reviews, and they are absolutely great! Lightweight and nicely cushioned. I use inserts in all my shoes to address my low arches ( I recommend SOLE SOFTEC Ultra-U). Only thing to know about the ASICs is they seem to run narrow. I usually get wide width (2E) but had to return the first pair I ordered and replace with extra wide (4E). I usually get men's 10 length, and the length seems fine. Will have to see how they hold up long-term, but for now they are my favorite sneakers!UPDATE January 2021: So I've now had these for a year, and they have exceeded my expectations. They are my "daily drivers", I wear them just about every day, and they have held up remarkably and are extremely comfortable. Last weekend, I decided to wear my New Balance 990's just for the heck of it, and I couldn't believe how, although they used to be my favorites, they aren't nearly as comfortable as the ASICS. I just ordered another pair of ASICS to be my "dress sneakers" as the ones I wear every day - well, look like I wear them everyday. I highly recommend these shoes!

I’m a fan of Brooks, Saucony and Aesics and this pair met all my needs and they look amazing. I’ve paid double the price and not as good. I get ASICS for my son as his main shoes because they fit his feet the best, and I've had very seldom issues with quality. Over the years, the insoles have become less and less supportive which I dislike. He still finds them much more comfortable than a pair of skechers memory foam sneakers which he instantly hated after walking just a few minutes. I got him a pair of Dr. Scholl's pain free insoles with great arch support to go in these, and he walked 40,000+ steps at Disney in 2 days with not much in the way of complaints.

Bought these for another pair of shoes to officiate basketball. Light, comfortable, fits as expected (I did get the wide). Shoe design in picture is not what I received. Not important as long as durability is not compromised.

For my use they are not a running shoe. I use them for leisure and when they get older for work. The sole is very solid and overall a good shoe.

Shoe is tight but stretches out after a couple of runs. I bought same kind 4 years ago and they lasted until I just bought the GT-1000 8 running shoe. I bought a half size bigger then I usually wear and they fit fine.They are good shoe for the casual runner. I run during winter about 12 miles a week. During summer I just log 4 miles. The other 8 miles I log on a golf coarse while playing golf. I do not use Gt-1000 on the golf coarse since they fall apart due to the chemicals and dew on the grass. On the golf coarse I use trail hiking shoes since golf shoes ruin your knees if you run in them.

These are the only running shoes that properly fit my feet. I hope they don't change them.
