Giottos MH611 Quick Release Plate (Black)

Well made extra-large QR plate, that should be a very nice addition to your macro photo accessories.

This long plate allows me to mount longer, heavier lens-camera combinations quickly, on whatever support system I need. I have (1) long plate and (2) standard plates, with (3) Giottos bases on different supports. The system works great! There's a YouTube video review of the Giottos quick release plate system. I thought the weight would be an issue, because I do a lot of solo, hand-held work, but the weight is negligible compared to the firepower when on a shoot.Giottos makes bomb proof, excellent products.

The MH611 long quick release plate by Giottos works very well with the Giottos quick release adapter and gives some extra length for achieving balance with heavier DSLRs and lenses on my cage video rig and camera crane. This is a very solid, durable piece of gear I'll have and use for many years.

You can file it down to fit the AmazonBasics video tripod if you don't care how it looks. About 0.2 mm from each side should do it.

Really cool for heavy cameras if you use large and small lenses ... can really easily balance on tripod or jib.

Just what was needed to help balance my camera (AF100), on my existing tripod (Davis & Sanford Provista 7518). This QR plate is a quality product.

While it took weeks to figure out that this was the product I needed, it is exactly right, of excellent quality and at a very good price.

Fits flawlessly

Works fine with 1302 ball head and Silk Road tripod, no problems supporting pro-gear to date.Took it off 70-200 f2.8 VRII while handholding, left or lost it while hiking.j

What can you say about Giottos products in general other than excellent. I purchased this plate as an extra bit of kit to go with my existing ball head system.
