Really great pens. I do not prefer the 1.0 nib size but other than this one issue, they write great, color is perfect blue/black and fair price.

A lot of people have read how Uniball Signo gel ink is the most fraud proof/ anti check washing ink for writing paper checks. But here's "the rub"... if you use straight black ink, plain black ink is much easier to replicate than if you use a blue-black ink. So that's why these very dark blue-black pens are so superior and extraordinary: The ink's color is UNIQUE. I'm taliking smooth flawless indelible ink writing here. And I spent 25 years on "the boards" inking construction drawings (with futzy rapidographs) before computers made drafters skills 98% obsolete. So I do know a great pen when I use one. I've always had eye issues, and these Signo broad point pens have made my life much easier. The bold ink flow really helps visibility, the color is perfect, and I have had no issues with smudging (unless used on glossy paper - but still dries quickly). The cap is easy to remove, but has a very positive action when closing - the lid will not come off accidentally, and the clip holds it securely in a shirt pocket. I have purchased 12 to keep in various locations around the house and cars, as pens seem to get misplaced easily, but well worth the cost for the exceptional quality. Note the ink seems to run out pretty quickly compared to regular ball point pens (easy to monitor due to the transparent body), so keep refills on hand - but for me, of no concern as the pen's performance is superb.

My friend Ed, who's an amateur calligrapher, recommended this pen. When he uses it, the writing looks perfect. When I use it, well, it looks like my handwriting (i.e., tortured). I have the 'broad' tip, which lays down a beautiful line, but so much ink is flowing that tiny droplets sometimes leak out around the stylus. I may be holding it wrong; gripping it too tightly and/or pressing down too hard. Bottom line: if your handwriting normally looks good, with a good gel-point like this, it will look beautiful.

Beautiful pen and quality value but they run out of ink to fast. The ink is not a fast dry which makes for smudging.

These are the best gel pens I’ve tried yet. So smooth and no smearing! I’ve only been using for about a week, but I hope the longevity is good too.
