It works great. Easy to set up. Compatible to my internet provider. And affordable to buy own device and save money from renting.

Wow. I have been buying my own cable modem for about 8 years for use with Comcast. Started with Arris modems, then about 4 years ago went to a Motorola cable modem. In 2021 installed a Motorola MT771 modem with all 3 services: internet, wifi and telephone. Had some issues. But OK. Just installed a Netgear C7100V cable modem. Easy install but took an hour on the phone with an experienced tech rep to get the modem with the telephone service to work. That's Comcast. The Netgear modem worked fine on the hard wired connections and telephone, but the wifi had an issue. Called Netgear tech support. Wow a tech rep answered the phone. She was knowledgeable and guided me to enter some info into the modem. Resolved the problem in minutes. Wow That is so much better an experience than I have had with other companies. The Netgear modem which is the same technical DOCSIS 3.0 level, runs almost twice as fast. Wow.

I bought this Netgear router on Jan. 29, 2022 to replace a rental from Comcast. It worked great for 9 months until the beginning of the 10th month (Oct. 29, 2022 to be exact) it quit. And forget about calling tech support at Netgear because they will not stand behind it, ‘stating that it is a refurbished unit’ and they will only warranty it for 90 days. Even though a new unit is covered for a year. Amazon customer is no help but they are distributor. I guess I am the fool for believing Woot or Netgear would honor the warranty on their products.

so far so good ,hopefully it will last a long time.

My daughter wanted to save money and stop renting her equipment from Comcast/Xfinity with nothing to show at the end (they rent, they don't lease to own). This was listed as one of the devices that would work with their network(?). It was easy to set up and works perfectly. Saves her $15/mo.

It works fantastic, I couldn’t be more pleased! It was easy to set up using the supplied instructions. Works as well if not better than the Xfinity version and has the same array of inputs. It will save me a bunch, I will recoup the purchase price in just a few months.

bought 2 others before i bought this one,couldn't even understand the directions for them and sent them back.this one took 2 min to get up and running (use the nighthawk app)

Router tech support says talk to your ISP; ISP declares no outages. Wifi now connects so intermittently neither my phone nor my husband's laptop will stay on; only the PC, which is hardwired, works continually.Look - I love Amazon, no kidding. But I will never buy another renewed product from them. Three months old, well past the time for a return - and contacting Amazon for anything outside of their usual channels is *really* difficult. Thought I was saving $100; instead I was losing $170. Expensive lesson!I'll keep trying to connect to a customer service rep, but frankly, this product stunk.EDITED FOR UPDATE: Turns out when it's their own renewed product, Amazon is pretty flexible. Customer service tech simply heard "intermittent connection constantly" and offered either exchange or refund. I took the exchange and ordered a factory-issued new one - hopefully it'll arrive in time, as I've only got 6 days to make the return. But this adds a star for Amazon's customer service to a formerly 2-star review.I guess I mentioned I love Amazon, right?
