115mm SHOWER DRAIN TOP CHROME COLOUR WASTE TOP REPLACEMENT TRAY HOLE CAP

First off, remember that Amazon do not post the photographs in order of uploading.I also apologise for this review being quite detailed but no other reviewer or the supplier has given any useful information to rectify the fault with this replacement shower cap cover.The seven photographs to assist you in the replacement of your old shower cap cover.1) Original tube waste trap and cap cover, it shows the tube waste trap touches the centre threaded section of the cap cover for the screw to secure them together.2) Original 115mm cap cover, with measurements.3) New 115mm cap cover, with measurements.4) New 115mm cap cover with the original tube waste trap in situ, showing very clearly the 23mm gap between the two items.5) New 115mm cap cover with the original tube waste trap in situ with the original M4 x 19mm pan head machine screw and the new M4 x 18mm pan head supplied machine screw, this is what others had mentioned in their reviews but never explained clearly for others.6) New 115mm cover with the original tube waste trap in situ with a M4 x 25mm pan head machine screw, as you can see, by using a longer screw, in this case 6mm, the cover cap and tube waste trap are now secured in place ready for use.7) The new 115mm shower drain cap cover in situ.There are two things to note;First, the centre threaded section on the cap cover on the new one is 8mm in height compared to the original of 14mm, meaning there is a difference of 11mm between the cap cover and tube waste trap.Second, underneath the cap cover, the "vanes" are different in height too (or depth, if you wish), the original is inner 7mm & outer 11mm whilst the new cap cover they are inner 10mm & outer 20mm. This means the shower cap cover will sit higher in the shower giving it a very high flow rate of water, than I had with the original cap cover.So when the seller Harrington Marley states:TOTAL WIDTH 115mm - PLEASE CHECK IT IS THE SAME UNDERNEATH / WIDTH BEFORE ORDERING.THIS IS THE CAP ONLY WITH FITTING SCREW INCLUDED IF REQUIRED ( DOES NOT INCLUDE TUBE ).They fail to tell you the measurements to make an informed decision on your prospective purchase, if it is a like for like item, which it is not.I have to admit, even though it was a bit of a pain to sort, I had to specially go out and purchase the correct size M4 x 25mm pan head machine screw for it to fit, the additional 3mm height of the inner vanes giving a higher flow rate is substantial over the original.I hope this helps anyone else prior to purchase.

Fitted to shower ok but the supplied screw is not long enough. Had to find a longer screw looks ok tho

Good fit and cheap enough to take a punt on

Holding screw not long enough so had to cut about 8mm off underside to make it fit. A longer screw or maybe 2 or 3 different length screws so it would fit a variety of different applications.

I bought this item to cover my shower waste, which has seen better days, but changing it will be very difficult.The materials did not seem robust enough for something that might be stepped on. I couldn't really secure it, but I was likely using in a way that is not intended. There is also a strange off-centre that may have some specific function, but just seems odd.Sent it back in the end.

Just put over the shower drain nothing else you need to do
