Schedule 40 is NOT 2" OD - it is much larger so don't buy just any 2" pipe for this valve.
This is a beautifully made 2" Schedule 40 PVC ball valve. It turns reasonably easily and I'm not a strong person. It requires PVC solvent and cement to install, not to mention 2" sched 40 pvc pipe, which I thought I ordered but it turned out to NOT be Schedule 40 pipe .I had to make a rush trip to the nearest hardware store to buy a short piece for this job. And it is possibly the best plumbing job I've ever done and I do quite a bit as we have a pool and I'm the pool boy :)

Great valve but difficult to open from the closed position
This is a very good valve but I find it sticks and is hard to open from the closed position. I attempted silicone spray and found no difference. Aside from that, it works as it should. -1 star for the sticking.

Disappointed with product, as I bought this item that was listed to accommodate a 2inch diameter pipe. In fact, the inner diameter of the ball valve piping is close to 2 and 1/2inches, making it impossible to fit a 2inch pipe at each end of the ball valve. Looking for a solution , namely how do I return this product, and is there a ball valve that will accurately fit a 2inch pvc pipe? Would appreciate advice from Amazon customer service.
