Effective on chickens and easy to use. This was powerful enough to immediately knock the bird unconscious. It may even have been killed outright by this device but we continued with immediate decapitation to be certain and in line with Human Slaughter Association guidelines. Much more effective than other methods especially those which require skill and practice to perform without distressing or causing pain. Very humane kill from the first usage with no prior practice. More humane than mere neck stretching which may not cause unconsciousness. The device is heavy and well built. It can be fully stripped down for cleaning and maintenance as needed. Appears to function on same principle as a spring powered air rifle (though with a captive bolt rather than a projectile) so I expect it to provide many years of service.

A great piece of kit a lot better than I expected for the money I have used this on various types of poultry and it works very well. I use this on 100 birds plus at a time and its hasn't let me down yet I do however strip it after a days work clean it and re lubricate it with Vaseline I am very impressed with this item and will be purchasing a couple more in the near future as I use on a industrial scale many thanks

Superb German engineering will last for years comes in a lovely box of 1940's era good instructions very pleased.

I wouldn't touch animals or birds with this. Complete waste of money .. still in the box!

This stunner was bought to stun cockerels for Christmas market. It does not work and should not be used on poultry. It was cruel and very upsetting to see it not work. I resorted to stunning by a quick blow to head.
