First, it fits and functions same as original and matches the other side which is OEM, no binding or roughness as others have said, and someone says the travel isn't like OEM, which means the interior tab was installed backwards. This part fits both sides by assembling the interior tab for right or left. That said, it is not easy to install and the video, which others say they've followed, is not helpful as it leaves out a difficult step. This, as does others, requires putting the interior piece in first, not easy, then snapping the tab cover on. I do not recommend trying to do this in the automobile as the steering wheel is an impediment and if you slip you will wind up with pieces going down the duct. To prevent both, I removed the vent assembly from the car and worked at a bench, tedious bet workable. If you are not comfortable removing dash trim and components to get at it, don't try. Models vary in dash trim removal, there are quite a few YouTube videos covering most models.

After installing, the slider stays loose and might even cause vibrating noise while car is in motion. Comes with no instruction either

Worked great on my 2016 Mercedes Benz GLE 350 4matic. Don’t give this a bad review If you don’t know how to install the product. It worked great and I followed the video example.

I'll start by saying I didn't expect it to be OEM quality. But the video shown is not the part that was shipped. I got it installed with way more work than it should have taken. It doesn't travel as far as the OEM one does but it does the job. Lesson learned, I'll only order Mercedes parts from Mercedes from now on. I just didn't think a part like this would really matter. I was wrong. How to actually install this thing. I took the whole air vent out. Be careful not to damage your trim but the vent will come out with some wiggling. (trim comes off first) then I installed the part that goes in the vent and shoved my hand through to hold it still. Then the clip over it and shoved it in place while holding the insides against the railing so it seated in place properly. Tip. A screwdriver through the vents will keep it from turning while you're working. Good luck.

Was a bit iffyy on ordering but super glad I did fit perfectly

I could install it on the both sides of 2019 GLS 450. It works but a little tight to slide side by side. I saved a lot of money for sure! Thanks!
