Tamagotchi Tamatown Black and Yellow Tama-go with Mametchi Gotchi Figure Charm

I've been collecting tamagotchis since they appeared in the US back in the 90s. Out of all the tamagotchis I have ever owned, these are the worst.While the interchangeable face plates add a nice customizing touch, it cannot make up for the huge, clunky design of this tamagotchi. This will NOT fit in a pocket, so being discreet with it is not going to happen. The buttons are thinner and felt a little harder to press than previous versions. The additional slide on characters are far too bulky, but they fit will with the bulky design. I'm not kidding when I say this tamagotchi is huge.The screen with the grey scale is an interesting direction, but very lacking as opposed to the color tamagotchis released in Japan. The shell and all its counterparts feel very cheaply made. If you are new to tamagotchis, steer clear of these ones. There are far better tamagotchis out there than this one. It is probably why they were clearance so quickly at Toys R Us. For the record, this is in English.Note: I did NOT receive this product for free or a discount. I bought this for my girlfriend as a gag gift. She had one as a child and didn't remember playing with it. I bought it for her, but it was much bigger than I thought. It definitely won't fit in your pocket, but it fit in her purse. We had a lot of fun with it for about 3 months and finally, we put it to rest. Good gift for children! The mini-games were entertaining.

I've had many of the Tamagotchi Tama-Go toys previously, one white and one black. This is my third, and they're still great fun. While I would love to get my hands on an English version of the Tama-ID L, this is an all-around great toy. I've had nearly all of the versions, including the Music Star, but this is my personal favorite. It doesn't bother you too much, and when you have all of the attachable figures there are plenty of games and what-not to earn points.My only real complaint is that they shut down TamaTown.com. I used to love going there. I thought it was ingenious how they made it so that you could actually log you Tama character in, earn points in TamaTown, then log him/her out with even more points.Well, hopefully they'll release the full color Tamagotchi P's in English. I really would love one. Until then, these are all-around great toys.

This is my 3rd Tama-Go and my second favorite. Came with a mini-dvd with a few 10 minute episodes of Tamagotchi: Let's Go! Feels cheaper and is bulkier than previous versions of Tamagotchis, but I find it doesn't detract from how fun it is.

Fun to play with if you're bored and have nothing to do. It reminds me of the 2000s

Apparently, I neglected to get my daughter this when she was little, so I got on Amazon and found this and surprised her with it (she's in her 20's)...she was thrilled with a piece of her childhood.

bought this for my eight year old sister who has never even heard of tamagotchi/tamatown etc. Thinking back when I was around her age, I remember how badly I wanted a tamagotchi of my own and never had one but my best friend did. Its been more then 2 weeks now and my sister has not put it down yet! She feeds it, "takes it to the park" plays games, and helps it when its sick. Every now and then she checks and see how old the tama is getting and how the weight goes up as it gets older. I gave it four stars instead of 5 because I wish the screen was a bit brighter. For such an inexpensive buy, I am getting my moneys worth lol.

I really enjoy this game and recommend it to anyone who has ever liked the tamagotchi experience. It requires 2 AAA batteries which I was unprepared for but didn't mind at all. It is an upgrade from previous versions where either you couldn't replace batteries or they weren't standard ones where you can buy at most places.The instructions confused me at first but I got a handle of it.In addition to the instructions supplied:Button A (Far left button), use that to scroll through the selections that are listed on top and bottom of screen.Button B (Middle button), use to select option.Button C (Far right button), use to 'cancel' or go back.You can earn 'points' (the currency in the game) by playing games. The games also earn you happy hearts and friendship hearts.Also tamatalk.com has been helpful for any confusion in the game.

I bought this as a half joke present for a friend not expecting it to get much use. However she turned out to love it! It was much bigger than I had expected but thats not too much of an issue. It comes pre loaded with a few games, and the evolution of the character is somewhat strange but then again thats pretty cool to!!Overall pretty darn good for the money :)

Not as good as the coloured japanese ones or the ones from the 90s so i sold it!

Zunächst einmal möchte ich vorab erwähnen, dass ich leidenschaftliche Tamagotchispielerin bin und auch kein Kinder-, sondern ein Jugendalter besitze.Meine 2 bestellten Tama-Go kamen wie immer schnell an.Baterien sind keine dabei, also wer gleich losspielen möchte, vorab für genug Input sorgen ;). Im Allgemeinen ist das Tama leicht zu bedienen, man arbeitet sich schnell ein. Sollte man dennoch Hilfe gebrauchen ist eine Anleitung, jedoch only auf ENGLISCH, dabei.Es gibt bei dieser Version viel zu entdecken. 2 tolle Spiele, das Figürchen, welches man zusätzlich aufstecken kann, hat noch 1 Extraspiel - das mich aber nicht großartig vom Stuhl gehauen hat.Für mich läge die Spannung darin, die sog. "[...]" per PC zu besuchen, und dann viele spaßige Spiele, Reisen und mehr mit dem Tama zu besuchen. Steht ja auf der Verpackung groß drauf!Die Ernüchterung kam schnell - diese Seite existiert nicht (mehr?)! Das heißt, keine spaßigen Extra-Abenteuer, keine Punkteabsahnung und viel viel mehr!Sehr beschämend, für ältere Versionen gibt es nämlich noch eine virtuelle Tama-Welt, die man besuchen kann. Nur bringt das einen nicht viel, wenn man diese Version besitzt.So, nun noch mal zum Tama-go selbst, man kann das Tama auch pausieren - jedoch hätte ich mir eine bloße "Lautlos-Funktion" gerne gewünscht. Ziemlich riesig ist das Format des Tamagotchi-Eis auch, nichts für die Hand- oder Hosentasche!.Ansonsten hält das Tama einen auf Trab und für Kinder bzw. Jugend und Eltern ist es ein riesiger Spaß, solange man nicht in diese sagenhaft beschriebene virtuelle Tamawelt möchte.

2 of my kids already owned this toy from years ago, so now that my son is older he wanted one too. They have been discontinued in Canada as far as I know, checked every store around. So when I saw it here I was so happy. This toy teaches your child how to care for a pet and how to count/add money/coins, so that they can purchase items for their pet. It's one of those toys that they play with intensely for 2 days then it goes away for a few months, pops back up for a couple of days etc... But it is a classic.

Hab das Tamagotchi meinen beiden Töchtern (8 und 10) zu Ostern geschenkt und sie waren begeistert. Über die Infrarotschnittstelle konnten sie sich besuchen. Zuerst haben die Tamas nur miteinander gespielt, dann gab's Küsschen, es wurde geheiratet und es gab dann ein Babytama ... also zumindestens für Mädchen ist das der Hit.Punkt 8 Uhr schläft das Tama und als meine Tochter es mal ein Wochenende lang nicht mitgenommen und versorgt hatte, stand es mit gepackten Koffern da und ist verschwunden.
