Spectracide 66420 Stump Remover, 1-Pound Granules Case Pack of 6

This is cheaper than having a service remove the stump but it takes patience for results. You have to drill several deep holes into the stump, fill them with the granules and then wait several months before you see any results. Its not the best option for removal however I am sure it is the cheapest.

I use this as a substitute for Potassium Nitrate as this is cheaper and is something like 89% KNO3. Note however that this works only for cruder experiments. If you need exact measurements and purity go for the real stuff. In my experiments this leaves behind some residue and obviously won't react as well as pure KNO3, though it still is pretty damn strong.
