5.11 Tactical Men's Taclite Anorak Jacket, 100% Cotton Twill, Breathable Interior, Style 78012

I just received it today and I have to admit, I’m very impressed. I’ve been looking for a quality anorak for years and I’ve found the one. As young Marine in 1981 I was issued a heavy canvas anorak as “rain gear”. I loved that thing but had to turn it back in after a years use. Rugged, warm and surprisingly waterproof, I always wanted another. In the mid 90’d I found a ugly, heavy synthetic cotton blend, lime green anorak. It wore like iron and despite being a ugly ass color, I liked it. Today my 5.11 Anorak arrived and man am I impressed! Rugged, insulated, fits great and excellent pocket and zipper options. I HIGHLY recommend this anorak and I will enjoy it for years to come!

This jacket is excellent! Be aware that it is not a light shell. There is some significant weight to it... not Carhartt duck jacket heavy, but maybe a couple steps down. It is warm and the exterior shell feels durable. If you CCW the side zipper access is great... extremely easy to unzip... simply pull a cord. I am 5’7”, 43” chest and 170 lbs. I initially ordered a large and it was too big. I returned it and reordered a medium and it was just right. This is a jacket that I would recommend to a friend.

Always love the quality of 5.11 but you do have to pay for it. I’ve never been disappointed with their clothes. The anorak jacket was meant to go in my car’s trunk. After trying it on once, I placed it in my closet instead. Great in weather from 40 to 60 degrees. Comfortable, lots of pockets, light but warm, ample hood room, highly adjustable for size in cuffs, waist, and buttoning up. 6’0” tall and 245 pounds for a 2xl and plenty of room to add a sweater underneath but some might find it a little loose with just a shirt. I would think you could use this is really cold weather with a proper base layer or sweater. I’ve told a couple guys about the deal I got on this jacket because it was a lot less than on 5.11’s website.

I am in the woods a lot doing work or hiking and camping. I was debating on getting a Fjallraven anorak but did not want to pay for the name. I did a lot of research and this anorak was the best I could find for the money! I was very impressed with the quality. Very rugged. I am 5'4" and 125 pounds and ordered a small. Perfect size for me. I would consider ordering a medium if I were to layer more for sure. Now I own Fjallraven pants because I need something that will hold up to rough wear. I wax these and my canvas packs every so often with Fjallraven Greenland Wax. It makes them weatherproof. So, as soon as I received my Anorak I put on a fairly heavy coat of Greenland Wax and soaked it in using a heat gun carefully. You can use a hair dryer too. Water beads off of this now and the material now feels exactly like a waxed Fjallraven anorak. And I paid far less!

Quality wise and value wise, it's a 5 star product. The description is a bit misleading however. While it's called a jacket, it's much more of a coat. Don't think this is similar to a nylon windbreaker. It's also much boxier than it looks; definitely function over form. The front of the jacket is 3 large, sturdy pockets. Lastly, the picture of the "tundra" color is misleading; at least to my eyes. It looked to me to be a cross between brown and grey, it's more of a very dark OD color. It's perfect for what it is. Just not described well.

Full protection from the elements......bought this to take my dog out to the dog park where it is often windy especially this time of year....I am hoping 5:11 makes a jacket with a full zipper of this colour and quality and features....wind and rain resistant...

This pull over jacket is awesome I work security on the weekend this jacket has everything I need it come a lil big a 2xl usually fits a little tight, and with this one I can where my ballistic vest underneath and it still fits fine. It repels the water nicely it’ll keep you dry very well made jacket.

Gave it to my Stepfather for Xmas who loves it. The XXL fit perfect and is very well made, the color Tundra is very similar to OD Green. I would definitely recommend getting one.

Der Anorak ist nicht Tacticool sondern eher etwas für Bushcrafter, Jäger oder Menschen die nicht in bunten Plastik Jacken rumlaufen möchten. Sie ist sehr warm so dass ich sie erst unter 15 Grad, dann aber auch nur mit nem Shirt darunter trage. Regen und Wind haben keine Chance.Würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen

Perfecta para el dia a dia ahora con estos cambios d tiempo,comoda,ligera y calentita.Tiene para mucho trote ;)Cuando la recibí,cogí talla S,al probarmela la ví muy grande y larga d mangas,excesiva y quise devolverla pero solo llevaba manga corta puesta al volver a probarmela con una sudadera fué cuando m comprobé que era mi talla.
