I bought this aftermarket battery a couple of months ago after the one I had, had begun to swell indicating its failure and potential fire hazzard. I don’t use my laptop too often as I mostly use my tablet. I have had to use it a couple times since changing out the battery. In each case, the battery was completely charged but as soon as I removed the charging cable, the battery’s status showed it was nearly depleted. I am very unhappy as most of the aftermarket accessories these days are pure junk! I may update this review if the seller does something to correct this.

I purchased this battery, along with some LCD/tech separators, to do a DIY battery swap on my laptop (HP Omen 17-w295ms). After removing 16 screws I was able to remove the old battery and plug in the new battery with little issue.It's been 3 days and no problems at this time.

Purchased July 21, 2021 ... I was hoping to get more life out of this battery, but it is bulging (like the original one that it replaced) and not holding a charge for more than 15 minutes. Going to go with a different one for a replacement this time and pay a little more ... and hope for more than 20 months.

Everything was fine until just the other day. According to Amazon I ordered this on May 22nd, 2021. Welp, here it is May 20th 2022 and this thing is dead. It didn't lose capacity over time or anything like that. It just decided it doesn't want to play anymore. Nope. Done. You unplug the cord and it's instant black screen. I'd think it was just me if not for the several other reviews saying the exact same thing.

Carbon copy of the one pulled out.Have been using for about a monthholds charge well no problems so far

I've had my battery in for over a week and no issues. Hopefully it lasts but so far very happy.

Update: It's been just over 2 years now and this battery has little life left. It won't even last an hour. It estimated to have 45 minutes left and just died. I plugged it in and booted it up and it said 8% and 2 hours approximately left. I'm going to look elsewhere for a new battery this time...This battery replaced the original one in my HP Omen. I already had a little toolkit for working on small devices (thin metal pry bar, screwdrivers, etc). After plugging in this one, my laptop worked immediately. It was at about 50% charge when installed, but after charging, the estimated battery life is around 4 hrs and it was under 2 hours, so that's a nice improvement. So far it seems stable as far as I can tell.To install, unscrew all the screws on the bottom (some are behind little rubber cylinders). One was behind the RAM cover. Just unscrew any screw you see that's holding on the bottom. Carefully pry the edges away around the perimeter, working from one side to the other. Once the bottom is off, always be sure to discharge any static electricity or wear one of those grounding devices. While open, I took the opportunity to blow out all the dust. Then, I undid about 7 screws holding the battery in. Be very careful with any tiny wires routed around it. For me, the power cable just gently pulled out of the connector. Reverse steps and you're good to go!
