OtterBox Resurgence Case for Apple iPhone 6 - Retail Packaging - Cardinal (Slate Grey/Scarlet Red)

The resurgence case for iPhone 6s is wonderful. I no longer have to worry about running out of battery. The charge from the case adds a whole charge and a 1/3 to the battery. I've had no problems with recharging the case with the supplied usb cord, my Kindle fire cord, as well as my generic car charger. I'm not sure why others have experienced charging problems. I purchased two of these cases, and could not be happier. It does take almost 5 hours to fully charge both the phone and then the case. However I only need to recharge every 2-3 days. There have been no problems with using the phone while it's charging.I have added a tempered glass screen protector. The case has held up great to all of life's normal bumps and drops with no sign of any damage to either the phone or the case. It's great that Amazon has these cases for such an affordable price. If you're used to the protection you get from an Otterbox Defender case you will not be disappointed with this one. You get excellent protection, along with only a slight length added to the phones dimensions.

The little volume switch broke after 3 months and OtterBox replaced without question!!! OtterBox stopped producing the red case and according to the rep it was their best seller. Go Figure.UPDATE:UPDATE:Otterbox was quick to send out a replacement for my OtterBox Resurgence Power/Battery Case for Apple iPhone 6/6s - Retail Packaging - Cardinal (Slate Grey/Scarlet Red) with a Sage and White Case. HOWEVER - Now the charging battery, on the replacement case doesn't work. Although the four lights on the back of the case show a fully charged battery, it only charges 8%-10% and then the battery is quickly depleted and discontinues the charge. So, I figured I'd use the original Cardinal case with the white front so the volume with works. INCREDIBLY, now the Cardinal case has the same charging issues as the newly replaced Sage case...8%-10% charge, even after the lights show a full battery case charge. DO NOT BUY THIS CASE...DO NOT BUY THIS CASE.02/06/2017 UPDATE:I will have to say that Otterbox Customer Service is Exceptional and therefore will change my rating from 5 to 1 to 3 which averages a 3. Interestingly enough Otterbox has discontinued the production of the Resurgence (Hmmmm). The representative was willing to send me the Universe case which apparently has some external options. Anyway, there's no sense of complaining since the Resurgence is no longer available.

I purchased the case on April 6 2016. Initially I was impressed by they case, but within a month and a half the Ring/Silent part of the case was broken and no longer moved the actual button on my phone, which is still fine. As annoying as that was I just took it in stride because the case fit as expected, was durable, and held a charge.Flash forward to now, 10 months later. The charge is terrible. I charge the case all night after it is drained, and If I try and use the recharge option, I get no more than a 20% bump! Today I pressed it to charge while my phone was at 19% and when it got to 34% it was dry. WTH? The entire point of getting the case was to protect the phone, but more so, to charge it and have a back up, and it doesn't work! It has been this way for a week or so, and I let it slide but kept an eye one it. The battery definitely doesn't hold up or give the same charge as 10 months ago.I feel that for the limited times I used the recharge feature, it should be in top working order still. I also feel that it should not be this big a difference in less than a year.One final thing (with all covers like this), whoever makes the decision to have small circular headphone jack holes needs to be fired. How can you used a real set of headphones with a jack hole like that? They should be big enough to accommodate shorter, square, or other shapes of headphone cables without an extender. I never understood this.Definitely disappointed.

I've now had this Otterbox case for my iPhone 6 for about 10 months, but around the 8th month mark, the case stopped charging my phone. I would attempt to charge the case by itself with the provided charging cable from otterbox, tried to also charge the case and phone together with the same cable, but no matter what I tried, the case (which showed 100% battery) would charge my phone for MAYBE 2% extra before it completely died. Granted, this case provided great protection against everyday usage and lives up to it quality name brand. But the fact that I spent extra money to get an Otterbox quality case that can ALSO charge your phone and it didn't even make it one year as the warranty guarantees, makes me very disappointed with this case. Otterbox needs to vastly improve their charging case lineups so that they can compete with other charging cases such as Mophie. Will see what their customer support can do about this issue and will update. Otherwise, it's just another plain Otterbox case.--UPDATE-- (August 3rd)Otterbox Customer Service has sent me a new case free of charge (You have to pay shipping and handling) without any questions except they asked me to verify that the case doesn't work properly anymore. The new case came in about 1-2 weeks later. It is worth noting that I was under warranty when I requested a replacement. So far, the replacement case works as expected. I probably will have to get a new one in 7-9 months, since it looks like many people have the same problem I did around that timeframe.Probably once this replacement case dies, I'll try Mophie and see if they are any better. I was happy with the Customer Service, just didn't appreciate the sub-par quality of a brand I trusted for many years.

This case was great when I first got had it... then it stopped being able to get me to even 50% charge. I called Otterbox customer service, did the troubleshooting that was required (take phone out of the case and charge the case alone overnight), and called back the next day to tell them that didn't work. Otterbox support then told me that the Resurgence Case is no longer in production, and can't replace my case. They said they could get me another case, but none that have batteries....The reason I bought this case was because it provided protection, and extra battery power... If this product has a 1 year warranty... shouldn't I be able to get another device for the year I was told I was covered?I asked for money back so that I could buy another case that had a battery built in, and Otterbox said they can't do refunds unless the device was purchased within 30 days.At this point, I wouldn't recommend this case since if it stops working... you'll never be able to warranty it.

While it does not cover your screen, this case protects the phone from corner drops and delivers a full charge from 1% for your iPhone. It does not overheat like some other models I've tried. Another nice feature of the charge mechanism is that it stops charging once the iPhone is full so you don't lose the battery due to a useless continuous charge like other models.One item to note is that this cover does cover the corners and a portion of the front screen. You may have difficulty finding a screen cover that fits both your screen and this cover. Select something that is thinner than the "glass" versions and you'll be ok.

Estuve comparando productos con características similares y no me equivoque en esta compra. Acabo de tirar mi teléfono por accidente de una escalera y cayó a un sótano, rebotó como 3 mts y gracias a la funda el teléfono no tiene ni una sola marca, la funda solo tiene pequeños raspones pero nada de consideración o roto, aparte la batería extra funciona a la perfección. Recomendado al 100%

Wife loves it.Lots of power ..functions as stated...lots of play time without having to be plugged in. Otter drop protection.Only minus...no front screen protector like otter otter products. Otter screen protector sold separately.

Freakin strong and good battery life. I can go almost four days without needing an outlet with light to moderate use including taking videos, texting, calls, GPS etc. This is with a new iPhone 6. I had an Otterbox for my 5 and was reluctant to buy this case because it said it only has 2600 mAh. Small battery compared to some cases but works well enough to make happy the guy who has to charge every afternoon. Not as easily removable as my last Otterbox which sucks because it doesn't fit into my workout armband.

After 14 months only, the power case is dead. Unable to re-charge my iPhone 6 not longer than 5 minutes, about 3%. This product has been discontinued by Otterbox and there is no replacement possible. No support at all. Do not buy.

If you have a tendency to take the case off more than once or twice a week it has the tendency to crack . I've had to crazy glue it together three or four times now. The battery charger works like a charm .

Love the case. A little disappointed that the iPhone chargers I just bought are now useless as the case charges with an android charger. Fits good and feels solid. Charges well.

Excellent Back up Battery and Body protection for IPhone 6/6s Good Investment for your phone

Great powercase and amazing protection for the phone. I now have enough power for all day and more. Never have cell go dead again on one charge.

It Provides the extra backup when needed. I go through 80% of my battery by early afternoon a quick charge with the case gets me through the day.

Only lasted 5months. Called for a warranty claim to find out they don't make or sell this anymore. Was amazing during those 5months. Only charger my phone overnight and usually lasts me the full day.
