Disappointing...
Really disappointed with this, bought it to try to get a more professional-looking finish on stretch garments but it just drives me mad! Sometimes just about works OK, but usually either the top thread breaks, or it starts to 'eat' my fabric...it also sounds really awful and clunky, like there's something wrong with it, but I think it's just badly made!

Very complicated to use. Not fit for purpose to us and we are a Tailoring company.

Beginner friendly
I have owned a few coverstitch machines. This one is hands down the BEST for beginners!

Perfect product!
I have had several cover stitch machines and this one is the best. I had a Janome 1000 old style it was great but then sold it and upgraded to the 2000 but I never melded with it. So far the Brother is my favorite. Hardly ever skips a stitch. I should know better every time I try a new brand of sewing machine I always end up going back to Brother.

It's just junk right out of the box.
Oh geez! What a piece of junk. Watched the CD, read the manual. Followed all of the instructions. Double checked and triple checked the threading. Ugh!!! Several times I tried to do the triple coverstitch. Oh my gosh!!! The machine sounded like a jack hammer. I've never heard this metal on metal sound like this. The looper wouldn't loop. I checked and rechecked the looper. Ugh! Needle tensions loosened. Still no good. The tension release did not work when lifting the foot lever. Ugh!!! I have a serger and a sewing machine by Brother and have used them both with no problem. ALL Sergers I've used, Brother and Husqvarna were both easier to thread than this thing and worked right out of the box. So much for trusting them. It's going back!
