Put the batteries in and it works right away. Couldn't be easier! My whole family uses this. Bought it to check on my son who has a 3 month illness and we needed it for him. Now we all use it.

I was in respiratory for 3 years. I lost my pulse oximeter. I spent 45 minutes looking at Amazon products and came up with this!!!!! As soon as I removed it from the box it was cheap plastic with thin springs. It has labels that wouldn't peel off. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

Let me first begin, I have been working in medical for a little over eight years now. Every now and then I need to do a manual BP. It’s nice to have a pulse ox around to catch the HR and O2 stat. And specially when doing a road trip to check a PT for desat.The package arrived faster than I expected. I checked the Pulse ox to our calibrated machines. The readings were very accurate, only 2+ to 2- at most on HR and the O2 @ RA was both reading the same. It’s still brand new so I can’t speak for normal wear and tear over time. I haven’t had it long enough. But I am very pleased with my order.

In fact, on the day it arrived, a nurse friend of mine (who works for one of NYC's top hospitals) stopped by and was impressed by the AccuMed name, telling me it's the best brand I could have chosen. I had been advised by several of my doctors to purchase a pulse oximeter for home use (and to carry with me). The device is small enough to fit into the small handbag I carry and is extremely well-protected in the two ways described above. I am 100% delighted with my purchase but, even more importantly, feel safe now that I can accurately measure my oxygen level and pulse anywhere and anytime I need.

Being a nurse and knowing the true quality of these products, I would say it's really not of good quality. When you get it it's more of a cheaper version than the ones I have gotten in the past. The handle to open and place finger in it very flimsy super flimsy. Not a tight closure.I don't think it will last that long because of this problem. Regret buying.

Just the same as your doctor uses. If you have had problems with your lungs then this is great for monitoring oxygen in the blood. Exercise do improve your oxygen level in the blood
