I've gotten a little confused over teas that come slapped with a "spring" or "summer" label, mainly because when I hear seasons in my head, it conjures particular flavors... for example, the Spring Gopaldhara darjeeling tea is a black tea that has strong flavors of dried stonefruit... well for me that means fall because during the summer you eat fresh peaches and nectarines! Maybe plums to boot if you're lucky!However THIS tea remedies that neatly. It's still a black tea despite a more yellow/brown liquor, but has strong flavors of citrus flowers. My wife thought it reminded her of earl grey but I don't see that really. Mildly acidic. Light and refreshing. I had no idea a black tea could taste like this, it's definitely a favorite for years to come!

... contrary to the rather careless description. A check of the page for this item on the Vahdam website confirmed that it was quite the opposite of a "low caffeine" tea. Vahdam were very apologetic and gracious, and sent a free replacement of my choice very quickly. Although this tea has too much caffeine for my system, I will vouch that it is an excellent one and a solid value for the price.

Tea was extremely light in flavor not matter how much I used or how long I steeped. Went through the bag quite quickly in attempt to get some flavor in the tea. Their cause seems noble and maybe ill try a different style next time but the estate darjeeling only had the slightest hint of flavor.

I have ordered and tasted many types of Darjeeling tea from Vahdam for years, and many of them are excellent and good. But this shipment of tea was the most disappointing one: no good aroma, all the tea leaves are rough and old, taste flat. Worse than the types at half of the price.

Absolutely DIVINE! Exquisite! I’ma Darjeeling snob and try many different tea gardens and this batch from Gopaldhara is wonderful!

Delicious high quality tea. To my taste, over steeping does not hurt this tea very much. I love it.

Tea is delicious. There seems to be a lot of stem-like material in this batch and it makes me wonder now if all Darjeeling is like this or whether there should be more leafy material. I will try to compare with my next purchase.

Auf jeden Fall kommt über die Art des Verkaufs mehr Marge in der Region und nicht bei großen Handelskonzernen an. Gefällt mir.
