My cat's litter box is right at the entryway of my apartment, in a little alcove across from the bathroom, leading to a short hallway that opens onto the kitchen. Even though it's not an enclosed space per se, it doesn't get any air circulation at all. The apartment has no central HVAC, and my portable units don't really reach over there, so it's just hot stagnant air around the litter box. That means that it gets stinky over there between cleanings, especially in the summertime. To boot, my orange boy cat is real dumb and doesn't bury anything. So even though it's a covered box that I scoop regularly, it still just ends up being real stinky over there most of the time. That's bad enough, but I also keep coats and bags and shoes in a rack next to the box, and was starting to worry that the soft fabrics might be absorbing the odor and I'd be nose blind to it. So I decided finally to look into a solution. There's nowhere over there to put an air purifier, so I went for these bags. I hung one on either side of the box, and one in among the coat rack. I had my doubts they'd make any difference, but within the first 24 hours the odor is completely erased from the entryway! I even checked and there was some fresh uncovered kitty business in the box, yet I smelled nothing. This must be magic! I'm beyond impressed. I also hung two in my walkin closet that I keep the door always closed, so the air stagnates and it smells like a storage facility in there. There too now is zero odor. And lastly, I hung one in the restroom over the human toilet and tested out with the door closed and skipping the exhaust fan to see how it would do in there. Same result! I appreciate that these also help with humidity in smaller enclosed spaces. I'm a bit unsure about "recharging" them in the sun every two months. I don't get direct sun anywhere in my apartment. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I'll update if and when I have anything to report.

I moved into a beautiful apartment across town where the rent is expensive and the communities are gated. However my neighbors cook curry 3 times a day. I’m sure the smell is good in their home but by the time it seeps through and enters into my home, it smells foul. It’s a terrible odor, it doesn’t even smell like food by the time it reaches me. The place where it enters my home is threw my master bath and master bedroom. After dinner time the foul odor can linger in my home all night. My child has asthma. So Fragrances, air fresheners, plug ins, diffusers ….are a no. I have been opening all the windows and running the ceiling fan which is a great solution. It works. However I can’t use that same solution for winter. I hung 2 bags in the ceiling on the AC vent & within 1 hour I could tell the odor was leaving. This gives me hope about maintaining a fresh smelling home.

I though initially it has a subtle fresh smell. This little bag absorbs odor. We recently moved to a new apartment and the cleaners/owner sprayed the carpeted stairs with a very strong air spray that it hurts our nose so we hang a couple of these in the stairs. It came with the hooks as well so that is a plus.

Giving 3 stars for? Bought to remove chemical smell from new dresser drawers. Put in after airing drawers out for 2 weeks, after, wiping down with vinegar and water and allowing to fully dry for an additional 7 days. Didn't do anything noticeable in cutting down smell after 10 days.

I was getting ready to part with a leather jacket that has a really bad chemical odor (OK, cheap leather, Ebay purchase)- Airing it out for a week did nothing Using white vinegar and water did nothing. I have had these babies for 3 days and putting them in the pockets and folding them into the jacket and the smell is almost all gone! I cannot believe it. I am going to let them work for another few days and I will be able to wear the jacket. Thanks for saving a jacket I thought was an expensive mistake. Once I refresh these little bags in the sunlight, they will go into drawers and closets. Thanks for a great product!

Wormed great in my closet where my shoes are. The odor from the shoes is not detectable

This product advertises chunks as opposed to small particles, which is untrue. The bags do not feel like there are any chunks in them. It feels like it’s just a powder inside. I do not recommend. It didn’t freshen the air. It actually smelled like the powder inside was circulating in the air. Had to take them all down and seal them in a bag. Once I did, I no longer smelled that “Dust in the air smell.”Again, not chunks whatsoever. The bag is filled with a powder. So disappointed because I was looking so forward to naturally freshening my home. Threw away the original package so I couldn’t return them.

Im shocked at how well these worked. I burnt something in the microwave and for a week my house smelled like I was a heavy smoker...... the smell was even in my kitchen cabinets! I cleaned everyday,washed things,wiped things down. White Vinegar, Baking Soda, Lysol, nothing worked..... I was going insane. Was I going to have to replace my microwave? Air quality people? This! These changed everything. I put them everywhere. The more the better. They saved my sanity and my wallet.

I was reluctant to try these but am glad i made the purchase. We put one in the fridge and it removed the smell of pungent fruits (e.g. rockmellon). We also put one in the car and laundry and its been great.
