They are magnetic and stick to the front and rear of the car wherever you want to put them. They are very good.

Fibreglass/plastic is usually non-magnetic so the l plates will need sticking on. The ones we got had small sticky discs which we used on my sons aluminium Audi A2. We did lose one L plate so he just stuck the other one on with duct tape. Duct tape will leave a mess on the car but he wouldn't wait for something more suitable :-)
