I was very hesitant to buy because of some reviews and anticipated problems with the product. I had none.Product arrived and in the part that hooks to your faucet IS a washer. If it is not there check your box as it may have fallen out.I hooked to my faucet and tightened it good - no leaks.Hooked the other end to the stake nozzle -again there IS a washer there - if not, again check your box.Hooked hose to nozzle making sure my hose still had its washer in. Tightened all and no leaks.Put the stake into the ground. Nozzle is sufficient. It turns on and off easily and some reported leaks. I had none. I have only been using now for three days but have checked it over and over for leaks and there are none.I only need to turn the nozzle a 1/4 turn and my sprinkler waters yard beautifully and all I have to due is bend over to turn it on now.Extremely happy that I do not have to get my plumber to come and extend my faucet as it is under a deck with decorative rocks on the ground and they sure hurt when you crawl over them!! LolWill remove extender during winter months and will see how this wears over time. But so far extremely happy with purchase

Excellent Hose Stake with Valve for Extender, but It's Plastic!
This was essentially exactly what I wanted -- a short, 6-inch stake with a valve atop to control the water flow. It has a male and a female standard garden hose connector, with a ball valve that stops or starts the flow of water.I didn't give it a 5-star rating only because the whole thing is plastic. But, there is a poor review on here that mentions that the handle continuously rotates, so it is hard to tell when the water is turned off. This is totally fallacious -- either that person has one that has been abused or broken -- the valve has a quarter-turn rotation. Clockwise turns it off, counterclockwise opens the ball valve.

So far, so good
I was a bit skeptical at first, but, so far it's worked well. We have an outdoor faucet behind a large group of bushes. Very hard to get to without destroying the bushes. This has been installed for a month, left the faucet on at the house (with very strong water pressure) and have been turning it off/on with this product. We'll see how it stands the test of time, but, so far, working well.

Low cost simple solution.
This product does what I need it to do. Have a bib I need extended around an overgrown bush. I purchased this mainly for the high pressure hose extension because it was cheaper than buying a separate hose. My plan is to install a copper extension bib. That said, the plastic one that came with it us working it fine for now. No leaks and the quarter turn off and on works fine. Since it’s plasric, I am treating it gently on land off, but have used it multiple times in the past few days without any issue. I will still be adding the copper bib, but quite honestly, for light use the plastic one seems fine.

It does the job but has a fairly big flaw
This is the 2nd of these I've bought. The hose is good quality & not a problem. I have it connected at the house which unfortunately is under a wooden deck. At 60yo I do not like crawling under the deck to turn the water on & off, hence why I bought this last summer. The weakness lies in the plastic shut off. The black round shut off spins around & around. There is no true on/off location. So you have to develop a 'feel' for when it is essentially in the off position. It still lets a little water threw though & why I bought a new one. I broke my leg & haven't gotten around to replacing the old one however so don't know if this one is any better. I searched the internet for a better brand & found NONE. It's this one or nothing. This is definitely better than not having an extension.

Works - but monitor for leaks
This is our second unit. They don’t last forever. Our first one started leaking around the faucet knob after 4 years of use. Unfortunately we didn’t detect the leak immediately and our water bill was atrocious. My warning would be to check it frequently to ensure it’s not leaking. But until that point it was very reliable and prevented us from having to venture through the shrubs to turn on the hose. We purchased this brand again because surprisingly there are not many options for this type of solution out there.

Good idea if it worked
I am a bit disappointed with the quality, feels flimsy to me. There is a on and off handle that won’t hold up to continued use, and I haven’t been able to stop a very slow drip. I wouldn’t depend on it as my on and off source. I decided to keep it, as it does extend my garden hose but I still turn the water on and off at the outlet.

Effective for the price
Helped get the faucet a few feet away from the house so we didn't have to push through bushes. I think there's a slow drip coming from the connection but nothing terrible. Had it in place a couple of months and happy that we bought it.
