Fabulous little camera
I bought this because unfortunately my little one is epileptic and has night seizures. This was recommended to me. Honestly, it’s fantastic. Was so easy to set up and for the price the night vision is amazing, clear as day, the app records the movements and sends a notification to you phone or device it’s linked to. It just as good as the other reviews I’d read on it said. It’s small so isn’t intrusive and it also records sound! I’ve used it when we’ve been on holiday and in place of cctv for the home when I haven’t needed it for my son and you won’t be disappointed. I’m sure at some point they will realise how good this little camera is and the price will shoot up! Great product.. well made, good flexible movement and you can also buy a wall mount for it, again inexpensive. Well done I’m really pleased with the value for money. Fantastic !!

Great
Great housing, lasted for years mounted up in the top corner of my house, shame neo is gone.

A bit flimsy, but do the job.
The 3 pack seemed good value, so ordered those to move one of the 3 neos cameras outside, that was looking through the kitchen window which meant I couldn't have the night vision turned on. A quick 12mm hole with a 400mm SDS bit, and I was able to pull the Micro USB side through the wall easy enough. Then used a Marxman to blob the hole centres out onto the wall. Now this is where the fun starts. The green hexagonal Rawl plugs u get with the device are rubbish. Just throw them away. And actually throw the tiny fitting screws away that come with them too. They're so short, that even if the rubbish Rawl plugs stayed in the wall, the screws would only go into them about 8mm. I used some nice Fischer duo 6mm Rawl plugs and some longer 25mm screws and it actually held it up very well. Then you just pop the ready set up camera into the housing with the Micro USB attached ( before you put both halves together), and secure both side together with the microscopic self tappers you get with the supplied screwdriver whilst being extra careful not to drop them. Sadly there is no weather proof sealing anywhere on these housings. You'd expect at lease one seal between the 2 halves, but nope... nothing. Maybe ideally it'd have a seal around the camera lens too to stop water ingress, but again nothing. Once the camera is secured into the housing, you can attach it to the ball mount on the wall. This again can be a bit fiddly and it's pretty flimsy. Once you have the camera in a position you like, you definitely need to tighten the ball mount (plastic securing gland btw) with a spanner(adjustable) to stop the camera flopping around. So that's pretty much it for fitting. Surprisingly, it has survived a fair few rain days. Another issue now though is that with the night vision led turned back to Auto, it triggers motion detection with every rain drop that it lights up close enough to the lens at night. Quite a pain. I now have the sensitivity at minimum and it still detects. Oh, and don't even think about turning the noise detection on. Every drop of rain, bird whistle, car passing, neighbour farting will set it off. So yes they definitely do the job. Time will tell on the durability and weatherproof side of things. I think it'd be good for a 2nd Gen to have the obvious sealing, and maybe also a 5v backup battery built into the base maybe. So if somebody decided to smash it off with a stick or cut the power to it, it would still be recording the footage to the cloud for a while to help u catch the scumbag. Just a thought.

It’s worth the buy
The mount was a perfect compliment to the Neos smart cam. I like this item because it offers better weather protection that some others I have seen.It also improves the security of the camera since the camera plug is inside the cover. It's very easy to install and it took me a few minutes.Having these outdoor mounts gives me more options as to where to place my cameras.

Good item to buy
I have four of the Neo smart cameras all are mounted out side and give great coverage of my property i have 3 mounted high and they do get some protection from the weather but they have been outside in really really bad storms gale force winds and they did great didnt even move i have seen bad reviews about the camera but i have had no issues with them and there support network is good i know they say dont put them outside but i have and happy i did i fully recommend the camera and case for outside use case is easily put together even supplies extra screws and small screw driver...

Good CCTV camera
Good cameras for the money you pay. Image quality is good. HD quality only on landscape on phone., but its a good camera for the money. Easy to set up and app for phone is very useful.

Fits camera well but would add a little more sealant if leaving outdoors
This is a well built unit that is not 3d printed like some. This is properly made. The internal measurements are snug but not overly so. This makes it reassuringly solid once built.I added a little insulating tape to the front of the camera edges to make it even more snug and watertight but this was properly overkill. The camera has been outside in rain for over a week with no water ingress or ill effects in this time.I don't know how it will stack up over winter and will update in new year.I suspect a little silicone sealant would make this perfect but it's not been required as yet.The tripod screw is a little weak looking but seems to hold ok as long as you don't overtighten it.The wall mount that comes with it is OK but the is a very cheap kit so don't expect a lot. A bird resting on camera will likely move it.I intend to use it to add protection in a birdbox next year and will leave it out over winter to see how good the case really is.
