If you dont want to spend ton of money for a dual cpu power supply, this adapter make that possible and it works as a charm. This is my 3rd installation and I never had any issue. Great quality and material. Highly recommended.

cable was just what i needed but looks could be improved. i have a black and white build and they have all the colored cables exposed. they need to wrap the cable all the way to the connector with black. I also would have liked the option to buy this wrapped with white electrical tape instead of black

I bought this in order to use an existing power supply in a server case with a new motherboard. The build quality appears to be decent. However, I think this cable should cost about half the $12 I paid for it. Before buying and using this cable make sure your power supply's 12V rail that your four-pin cable is connected to is capable of supplying the power your processor(s) require.

Good quality cables at a good price

Replaced my son's AMD FX8370 MB/CPU and GeForce GTX 970 with a Ryzen 7 2700X, ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wifi and AMD RX580. Officially, the ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wifi has an 8 pin EPS power port and a 4 pin EPS power port but it can be run without the 4 pin. However the RGB could be affected and my son has an RGB case and new 750 watt modular P/S with plenty of power but only one 8/4 pin EPS port. This splitter allows me to connect to both motherboard ports. There is more than enough power to run the system and my son is happy with his upgraded computer.

I've only recently started building PC's. The last two PC's have needed an 8 + 4 Power supply plug to the mother board around the CPU. Most power supplies only come with the 8 plug. So, I needed a splitter and this cord worked perfectly! Would definitely buy again.
