Mad Catz R.A.T.3 Optical Gaming Mouse for PC and Mac

Hands down, this is the mouse to buy if you want to buy a Mad Catz mouse. After buying this mouse, I decided to buy a RAT 7 while the RAT 3 was still working and kept it as a back up. The RAT 7 while it was fancy it didn't last long and one of the side buttons stopped working. I then went back to the RAT 3 and even bought 3 more backups. The original was bought in August 2016 for $39.55 and the RAT 7 was $79. I bought the backups in 2017 right before Mad Catz had officially gone bankrupt. I checked to day and was surprised they were back in business. It looks like an Asian company took over based on the icons on the search buttons on the website.I think the original RAT 3 will last forever, just because it's simple and the plastic design solid. The hybrid aluminum and plastic designs eg: RAT 7 seem not to be as reliable.

Note: I hold my mouse with my fingers when using this mouse.Also, I typically use this mouse oftentimes over 10h a day gaming.Owned two separate RAT 3's over the past 4-5 years. First one was replaced by Madcatz under warranty when the spring became loose and stopped functioning well, and just recently started having troubles again with my right clicks releasing and re-registering in extremely short intervals (causes issues when aiming in Gears 4, PUBG, and Destiny, or when moving in League).Being a relatively cheap mouse, I felt I had received more than my money's worth, and would heavily recommend the RAT 3 to anyone looking for a new mouse that doesn't have much to spend, but is looking for something that'll perform well.I may move on to a different brand from this point, just so I don't get too attached to the product line, but my time spent using these mice was always a pleasure.

The Titanfall's design comes pre-dirty, will never look clean. This is a feature you will either love or hate.Mouse has good feel and response time. Great for Gaming or general us.As I have had mine for many months now I can say this mouse is Sturdy & well made.As my mouse often tends to nose dive to the hard wood floor due to my faulty table design.Mouse button 5 (browser back) is a bit glitchy when pushed but that might be my fault due to fall of table.Bought mine on sale >$30, well worth the sale price. I have had my R.A.T.3 Gaming Mouse for a few weeks now, but prior to this one I have had the Matte Black (bought from in-store) for over a year now. I adore this mouse and the 3 programmable buttons (5 all together including the 2 left and right buttons), 4 dpi settings and 3 modes. My Matte Black was however my first gaming mouse ever, so one could say I was easily impressed. I decided to get the [glossy] White to use with my MacBook Pro. The package of the R.A.T.3 was not pristine when I unboxed it, but the mouse it self is perfect and it works great, just as my first Matte Black one. The software needed is downloadable from online at the Mad Catz website and the product comes with easy to follow instructions. I will also state that I only use one program and I rarely switch between the optional 2 others this mouse offers. I would recommend this mouse to others who are purchasing their first gaming mouse.

The performance on this mouse is terrific however it really does not hold up in the durability area. Performance wise I would rate it a 5/5, but the durability is a 2/5 at best.I owned one for about 10 months and it worked terrific, but after about 8 months the mouse would occasionally freeze up and had to be unplugged and plugged back in to get it to work. This was a very intermittent problem that became more and more frequent until it completely froze up and would not work at all at about 10 months after purchase. The mouse saw a ton of use, but was never abused and looked to be in as good of physical condition as when it was brand new because I had taken very good care of it. I was able to send it in to the manufacturer to get it repaired (had to pay for the shipping but still much cheaper than buying a new mouse) and got it back in about 3 weeks. I received a note with the new/repaired mouse stating that the new mouse only has a warranty of one month which I was a little suspicious of, but didn't want to cause much of an issue about. The new mouse that had been returned and supposedly repaired only lasted about 4 month this time. It had the exact same problem as before only this time the problem degenerated to completely unusable after only 2 weeks.Overall this is a terrific performer, but you are really taking a chance on how long it will last before it breaks down.

I received this exact one but red a few years ago. It recently stopped working due to me breaking it on accident so I knew I had to order a new one. The product came exactly in two days like to said it would just in time for me to start gaming again. I plugged it in and updating my settings. I've been using it close to two weeks and haven't had a single issue with it yet. The product is great! I have been testing this mouse on all my games and it seems to still work just as great as my old one. I would definitely recommend this gaming mouse for a beginner/intermediate gamer who is look for a great quality gaming mouse at a great price. I've had a bunch of different mice all different brands and this is one only one I have been happy with. Highly recommend getting!

Contrary to what this says it isn't 100% compatible with Mac OS X. When it's plugged into my MacBook Pro(Late '14) the dock shuts off and you have no access to it until it's unplugged. I bought this and the Office R.A.T. M, both are not 100% OS X compatible. Needless to say I won't be buying their products again.

I've had the thing for less than 6 months and the right mouse button just stopped working. I bought this as a gaming mouse to play League of Legends, and now it has been rendered useless. Up until this point, it's been working fine. It's just frustrating that I spend $50 on a mouse that I have used only for it's designed purpose, and it lasted me less than 6 months.

Perfecto. Simple y llanamente. Por el precio que tiene, no encontrarás ninguno mejor. Es el segundo rat 3 que me compro, ya que el otro le rompí la ruedecilla por accidente. Totalmente recomendado, muy comodo, sencillo, barato y preciso. Para jugar al CS:GO es perfecto, como si quieres ver vídeos en youtube.los dos botones del pulgar están bien colocados, muy cómodos y muy útiles una vez les coges el gusto. EL cambio de dpi para mi es secundario. No se pueden cambiar leds, aunque no los verás obviamente porque tu mano lo tapa.Déjate de logitech ni trastos caros. Estos son geniales, baratos, duraderos y van perfectamente. No los cambio por nada.

El tamaño es perfecto para una persona con manos grandes como yo. Tiene un diseño increíble, y responde muy bien; el programa de Mad Catz para su uso es muy intuitivo y de mucha ayuda, 100% recomendado.
