I bought this and th ebrand new Monty Pythons papperbok for my 15 year old step-son`s birthday..... to kind of educate him.Kids are so straight and cynical nowadays!I was totally gone just at the at the picture of the Llapgoch guy.. The secret Welsh art of self-defense that requires NO INTELLIGENCE, STRENGTH or PHYSICAL courage.... Only a four second work out each day and you will be ready to HARM people, develop up to 38 inch biceps and grow up to 12 inches taller after your first work-out! very teenage boy stuff at times, but brought memories of fantastic subversive thinking.Some highlights book club of the months ` some highlights from great masturbators of History` School report of God; Edward Woodwards Fish page... where the stars buy fishetc etc still genuinely guffawing att his stuff I know so well.

First Published in 1973/4 (around the time of the final TV series), this book often comes with the accusation of Cash-Grab. It is not that bad. There is still some enjoyment to be found here, even if it is mostly nostalgia or from simply being a fan. The format of the book is the now commonly used "Scrap-Book". An esoteric, eclectic smattering of Pictures, Spoof Adverts, Features and Articles. Not great, but above average. It is a product of its time with a few tasteless gags.

I've bought this for my partner for Christmas. He is a Python fan and I think that the book will keep him amused. I've had a look through it and it is Python through and through.I checked it out online and Amazon gave the cheapest price overall, so I'd recommend it for value. It also arrived quickly and well packaged.A great buy.

Ahhh this book is such a part of my childhood and early adulthood- just had to have it!

Kudo's to the Monty Pythons! The real test of talent and humor (humour) is to see if you can still make the world laugh after 40 years. This book is an excellent example of Monty Pythons unique humor, both of my sons initially opened the book with a bit of skepticism and found that the more they read the more they laughed. I had this book back in the late 70's and enjoyed it then. Reading the book again some 30 years later is like rediscovering something which you had long forgotten. Highly recommend it!
