Drive Medical Cruiser III Light Weight Wheelchair with Flip Back Removable Arms, Desk Arms, Swing Away Footrests, 20'' Seat

I am a big guy and this chair held up fine for years. I am now on my second one because I eventually tore up the cushions on the arm wrests on my first chair, although it is cosmetic damage only I was lifting myself with my arms... 330lbs is too much weight to apply on the armrests multiple times a day. The wheelchair is narrow enough to fit through almost all doorways and strong enough to lug me around. I am 6' 3", 330lbg guy and I fit nicely in the chair. I recommend a good, thick cushion. I have partial use of my legs so I never use the foot rests. I think the wheelchair is light but a 100 lb. female or younger child may have trouble lifting the chair into a car trunk. My 14 year old son had no difficulty at all.

I have to say that the first product that came was missing the foot rests, which made it pretty much useless. However the replacement that came was all in order, and hassle free. It did take a while for the replacement, so i did have to rent a wheel chair for 2 months. Kind of an inconvenience, and disappointment, but still it was worth the wait.Pros:- Easy fold up for travell.- Adjustable and adjustable rising leg rests- Sturdy seating, even for my heavier family members- arm rests can be swung out of the way for easy placement of the chair at a table.- comfortable even for extended use- solid rubber tires have good grip on most surfacesCons:- carbon fiber style wheel spokes make it light, but it feels brittle and i worry they may crack at some point.- velcro that holds the back of the seat bottom to the bottom of the seat back sometimes slips, making it feel like your butt might pop through.Overall, it's a very decent wheelchair value for the price. It's the preferred brand of many of the medical centers near me.

I ordered this for my father who is home bound and lives on one level, and can stand to get into bedroom/bathroom. But it is great for him and has exceeded our expectations. It would be too big to get through doorways.

This is a very nice wheel chair. It is large and holds up to 300 pounds. The seat extends and the footrests and leg rests fold in. It is very easy to fold and unfold and fits in the back of my Outback with no trouble and without taking anything off of it.

The 20" width is much more comfortable for my husband than the 18" one made available to him. Am not trying to get this into and out of a car; so, the weight isn't an issue; however, it is heavier than I would be able to manage. The parts assemble very easily and footrests are easy to attach and detach. Seems sturdy; however, can't comment on how long lasting it is because he just started using it.

I broke my fibula and knew I would need something for mobility. I also knew I would only need it for 8 to 10 weeks. I did not want to spend a lot, and I needed the chair quickly. This wheelchair fit what I needed. I received the chair in a day.I am a tall 240 lb man, and I fit well in the chair which is comfortable. I worked from it and used it to play guitar. The chair was intuitive to set up and use. It folds easily and could easily be transported 8n my hatchback.I never used the footrests so I could navigate in tight spaces. I had one working leg and could use it to supplement my hand, particularly when I was was carrying something.I could not be happier with my choice. This may not be an ideal chair, depending on the disability, but for my purposes, it was perfect.Later, I supplemented with a knee scooter so I would put some weight on my hip joint, but the wheelchair is much more stable.

I like the chair get me around very good, easy to use

Purchased the chair and was very pleased until a crack appeared in the resin spoke. Several attempts made for assistance from Drive Customer Service regarding warranty or a dealer for repairs. There has been no reply from Chstomer Service.

I have been using this for a week and I am 200 lbs. It is an 18” seat and a snug fit. The 18” I had from Red Cross was a much larger fit. It rolls very smoothly, tight turning circle, goes through doors well. Does not have nubbed tires so I do not know how it will be on pavement - slip or not. I have had to tighten the tires as they came loose very fast. Otherwise for an indoor chair and one needed to go to the store it is good. I would not recommend it for long term use on long walks.

Bought for my mother to take along on trips and day-outs. It serves it’s purpose. The swinging out of the leg support makes it very easy to get in and out of the chair. The lifting up of the arm rests is very convenient to sit comfortabley at dining tables. The break mechanism is located at the wheel and is very hard to deploy or release. My mom can’t do it herself. No break or security machanism available to the caregiver who is pushing the chair. My mom has to hold on to the wheel-rail to keep the chair steady, so that I can let go of the chair safely and then I need to walk over to the front to apply the break. This is a major inconvenience and a vulnerability. I have to be very mindful of the leveling of the ground before I can let go of the chair. I wish the breaking and stability locking was available to use by both the user and the caregiver. We feel the need of a cup holder too. I bought a clip on.

I only gave it 4 stars because I don't like the break handles. I find them very short and close to the chair. I gave my hand a god scratch fist time using it as my hand scraped on the screw that was on the hand rest. I had to put a piece of tape over the screw for protection. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the chair. I used the seat extender which I love. and the fact that I could lower the chair, was a blessing. It rolls nicely.I need to find a comfortable cushion that is not to thick and I will be all set.

Odered this and it was at my door within days .... works great ... the price was fantastic ... just what I was looking for. Use it as my travel chair .. it stays in the car for use when we go out ... exactly what I required ... hope Amazon continues to carry these products .... Very happy with my purchase
