Love this trimmer!
I am prefacing this review by saying that I have only used it once. That being said, the trimmer is great. I have a gas trimmer that I was looking to get rid of. It was terrible, smoke, noise, replacement line. Everything about it was awful. The only good thing was that it lasted 10+ years. I set this trimmer up in about 10-15 minutes. It is simple as there is not much to do. It just takes a minute to realize what you need to do. The directions aren't stellar. The battery charged reasonably quickly. I fired it up and I was amazed how well this went through the weeds. It worked much better that my gas trimmer. I noticed the previous reviewers say that the battery does not last long unless you put it on the lowest setting so that was what I used. Even at low, I was super impressed with the power this thing had. It was much quieter as well. One issue with my gas trimmer is the line. It was terrible. I switched it to use the 'as seen on tv' product weed thrasher. It is supposed to give durable line with easy switching. It does not. This product apparently feeds line automatically as you need it. I didn't notice how much line I used and I didn't care. It just worked without me having to do anything to feed more line manually. The battery life seemed fine to me. I did my whole yard on a charge. I do have a a small yard and I only need about 20 minutes to do the whole job. Like I mentioned, I also kept it on low the whole time. I now have two Worx battery electric products (trimmer and 36 volt mower). I am equally impressed with both of them. I highly recommend this product. I will try to update this review after a few more uses.** Update 06/17/2013 After the initial use, I put the trimmer in the garage for a week. I didn't recharge it. Next weekend I pulled out the trimmer and did the whole yard (on low setting). It finished the job on the original charge. two uses and I still love this trimmer. I picked up two extra spools of the trimmer line because I don't know how long the original will last. I think I paid about 7 bucks for the replacement line. great deal.

Almost great, two fatal flaws....
I've used a lot of trimmers over the years and read all of the reviews here before opting to try my second electric unit. The bottom line is that this could have a near perfect trimmer, but it suffers from two fatal flaws that caused me to return mine. First the good news: I was pleasantly surprised that for an electric, it really did have ample power and near gas quality. I really liked how quiet it was and how easy it was to operate, no gas to buy or fill - great. Its lightweight which makes it really easy to handle and to direct the cutting head where you want it to go. A real issue with heavier trimmers that can be exhausting to use. Now the fatal flaws, which Worx should be able to remedy.Problem Number One is that the shaft arrives in two pieces. They are supposed to "click" together permanently and the same with the handle. Problem is these critical components are made of cheap plastic. On my unit, the plastic tab that holds the two shaft pieces together fell off and into the shaft and there is no way to keep the two parts together. It just boggles the mind that they didn't make this metal or require a screw to hold these together. The handle can theoretically be adjusted by tightening the screws, but no matter how tight I made them, the handle was never tight enough and kept slipping. Again - why this could not be permanently set with a screw, I don't know. Once you have the handle where you want it, why would you adjust it? Imagine how much fun a slipping handle that is while you're working with the unit. Now the cutting head. What is the number one frustration point with string trimmers? How to advance and keep a good cutting line. On the plus side - I like the Worx push button system. Simple easy. Jammed a few times, but that's normal on any trimmer. The biggest problem is what other reviewers have noted - the Worx head only puts out one line, not two. What this means is that cutting power is less than expected and unless your (single) line is always at perfect cutting length, cutting goes very slowly as you are constantly advancing the line manually - no bump feed. Worx should make this a bump advance with two lines.Hope this helps!

I love this trimmer
I bought this model a little over a year ago. I have had corded trimmers and gas trimmers. This is my favorite trimmer and I would purchase it again in a flash. I am 64yo and last year the battery would wear me out (I was recovering from malnutrition resulting from undiagnosed Celiac Disease). This year I am healthier and the battery is a year older but still working well. However, I just ordered a second battery because this trimmer appears to be reliable and we have had more rain this year and I have had to do a lot of trimming. I normally operate it on the lower speed setting as our grass is not too thick (dry New Mexico) but if I get into a cluster of tough tumble weeds I have shifted up to high speed. Did I say I love this trimmer? I love this trimmer. If/when this trimmer wears out I just hope I can still purchase a new one.The above was written 6 years ago. I still love this trimmer. I now live in Alabama with its much heavier foliage. I came here to see if I could order a new one. I was amazed to see the 3 star rating and now I read that Worx no longer makes it so maybe it is not as good. I know my 6yo trimmer can't live forever but will this be as good as my original? My batteries are still going strong, btw. ... I bought another one. It works great. I cannot explain the negative reviews but I would give this trimmer 6 stars. It is nice and light yet durable since my original purchase was 6 years ago. This new one should outlive me. It seems to be the same product as the one 6 years ago except for the charger not having the two "legs" to make the charger more stable. I miss them. I can't explain the review that said this is no longer made by Worx. It has Worx written all over it. Great product. Light. Easy to tilt to cut angles, etc. Love it.
