This is amazing for what it is, a small compact pry bar. You know what they say, you may never need it but if you ever do then you'll wish you had it. This sat in my patrol bag for over a year and never moved, but one day I needed it and luckily I had it. Since I used it the first time there was numerous times shortly after that incident that I needed it. This tool has been used in gaining entry to numerous houses and bedrooms and has saved a lot of money for homeowners. Instead of kicking in a door and damaging the door and door frame, this allows you the opportunity to gain entry with a very minimal amount of damage and less chance of injury to the officer. I have not tested this on deadbolts, but I would imagine that you may need something bigger in order to get enough leverage to get in. This isn't a tool that will take the place of sledgehammers, battering rams, or other larger pry bars, but it is what it is: a tool. Some tools are right for the job and some aren't, but this tool has worked for me on numerous occasions where the job called for it. You will not be demolishing a house with this but it can be useful in many ways. It will fit in your back pocket with ease, it has held up to repeated uses, and has not chipped or broke. The outer coating has come off in the high use areas of the tool, but that is a given if you use it a lot. Paracord offers good grip, the little lanyard offers a good place to attach it onto something via a D-Ring of some sort. If you need a entry tool that will reliably work on something heavy duty, then I would recommend getting something larger and better for the job. If you need a tool that you can get out and slip it in your back pocket just in case you may need to get into a door that isn't deadbolted or some type of interior bedroom door, then this is a great tool to have. I recommend anyone in public service to have one of these as it has helped me out numerous times and has kept my department from getting a lot of bills to fix damaged doors and door frames. It is also great to have for any bug out bag because you never know when you may need it.

Still willing to give this product a 5 star review even though I expected this to be small and it was even smaller than I anticipated. Schrade doesn’t disappoint again. Have not field tested yet but seems very durable and it being smaller than I expected mixed with the strength of this tool will only make it more versatile. Definitely a must have for a bugout/get home bag. Great product and have already recommended it to a bunch of edc friends.

It is even smaller than I thought. However small I got it for use in my kit to assist in taking nails and other useful items when found while hiking or exploring. Package says its rated to 345 pounds. Not sure I'd test it to that. As a caveat though it is high carbon steel and is a back up flint striking tool instead of my knife which is why I got it to be honest.

Fantastic, sturdy, and an amazing size! A must have for a camping, emergency car tool, or even a bug out bag.

This is the best pry bar I've found in this size range. Very strong, thick steel with a nice 550 wrap for grip. I tried it out to make sure it wasn't going to fold over like a wet towel when I actually try to use it one day and it held up nicely to my ridiculous test; Trying to pry open a steel security gate. The gate wouldn't have budged with a full size pry bar but this little thing took the punishment. The tip held up well & didn't bend at all. I would trust this if I ever really needed to use it one day. It's obviously quite a bit heavier than titanium but I think this steel is much stronger in this application that all the $100+ Ti pry bars I've seen.

I use this tool more than nearly any tool in my bag. I am not easy on it either, by any means, and it takes the abuse with ease. I don’t worry about it bending, nor breaking, because it has yet to do so even through some pretty rough tasks. It will be a permanent inclusion in any of my tool setups.

Small enough to stash in your BOB. Well built and begs to be used.

Not exactly usable for my type of work considering it's really miniature. It's like something I would give to a child or the son I never had
