Great machine, great price!
I ended up ordering this machine locally when the Amazon delivery decided to not show up and not notify me, but the machine itself is amazing. I did almost 6000 sq ft of lawn that hadn't been disturbed in 30+ years, and while it bucked and kicked, it tore through everything with no issue. Gas tank runs forever and the machine has a lot of power.2 things I would change - the forward throttle is on the left side and reverse is on the right, being a right handed and having other machines I wish it was the other way around. Also, the spike that hangs off the back of the machine has a very cheap sheet metal "catch" piece that holds it up when not in use. After using the machine for a while this piece constantly got knocked out of place and now completely broke from being bent too many times.

Good for the money
I bought this directly from Amazon, It was shipped for free via freight delivery service. Recieved within 4 days of ordering. The product description has a picture of the old model (the one with the single pole handle) and the newer improved 2 pole handle in another picture, which is what is sent by Amazon. The assembly is very simple, just unbox, attach handle and tighten a few bolts and add the entire bottle of oil with a funnel and it is ready to go. I have used this once already this March to till in last fall leaves into my garden and I love this tiller. One of the best front tine tillers for the money. The Briggs and Stratton was the big selling point for me. The one complaint I have is the axle for the wheels could be stronger, but not a deal breaker. I have very hard clay soil and this powers thru easily. I will be tilling a few more times this spring so I will update if anything changes. It's great not having to rent or borrow a tiller anymore. ***Update*** 4/18/16 I have roughly 13 hrs. On the unit and it is still running like a champ. Do not attempt to break new ground with this, rent a rear tine to do that. I'm still not impressed with the axel/support for the wheels, it is flimsy. The recoil is not retracting all the way and the spring will have to be replaced soon. Other than that, I would still recommend this unit.

Great machine bad wheels
Packaging was great, not a scratch or dent on the product upon arrival. Two guys came and delivered it from a box truck and carried it up to my door and brought it inside the house. Tiller needed some assembly out of the box but it was not at all difficult. Package even came with oil to fill the machine with. Put it all together, filled with oil, filled with gasoline and put her right to work. The tiller is very powerful with that brig and Stratton engine. The weakest link in the whole machine is its wheels. It is a horrible design. Each of the two rear wheels are bolted to its own metal flat stock support. Both of these flat stock supports go into the same "pocket" and have holes in them to adjust the height. The problem is that they are separate and not one piece. The height adjustment can be wrong and one wheel higher or lower than the other. Even when both are at the same height one wheel wants to twist forward and the other backwards causing you to till at an angle and it is a pain in the @$$. The wheel brackets need to be bolted or welded together and a single axle needs to connect the two wheels together. Other than the total crap wheels this machine is great.

Husqvarna FT900-CA Adjustable Width Front Tine Tiller
This unit has done well for us clearing out a 20 ft diameter overgrown lily and wild raspberry garden. It also tilled 2 ft by 20 foot flower bed. The instructions do not match the motor exactly which caused some initial confusion. It started every time we needed it and it survived the battle with the raspberry "garden." It used gas sparingly. So for this short sample this unit has done well. It tore into dry compact earth well.Update: Tilling season 2 complete 5/16/15, continued positive results.

I needed a front tine tiller because I have several smaller gardens and need to run right up to the fences. Can't do that with a rear tine. Not so great for breaking new ground, my land is like cement, but it will dothe job if you keep at it. Helps if you weigh 200 lbs .to hold back on it otherwise it can just pull you along.Turns over everything quite well. I find running it at 1/2 speed seems to work the best. Took me awhile to figure that out.Starts very easily. Over the season with four existing small (10x12, 12x15, etc) gardens to turn, I never hada problem. Really find the reverse function useful. Great product for the price. One tip: To move it from place to place go in reverse. Doesn't chew up the ground.

Quite the nice tiller
Folks, I've been tilling for decades. My dad bought a Sears tiller in 1969 and it finally died a couple of years ago. The thing was a beast. It weighed at least twenty pounds more than this one. When I rolled this one around I thought it was too light. However, once it hit the garden away it went. I ended up raising the depth bar because it just kept tilling deeper and deeper. I then went out front and tilled the flower bed. Piece of cake. The engine started on the first pull and ran flawlessly. Couldn't be happier.

Huge waste of money and time
Piece of junk. Had it two years and already in shop once due to not starting (clogged fuel port) mechanic said its a common problem with these. Cost me $80. Used once after repair to till 30X50 garden. Took it out of garage today and won't start! Husky customer support says to take it to Briggs and Stratton service center (meaning more money out of my pocket!). Already into this machine for almost $550 ...at this rate i'd have been better off hiring someone with a shovel at $10 per hour!!! Do NOT buy!!!!

Great machine!
This tough rototiller came a day ahead of projected delivery schedule. The driver from R&L was curtious and friendly he unloaded the 170lb machine and placed it in my garage just where I wanted it! I proceeded to unpack and assemble. The rototiller was well packed and on a pallet that I got to keep. The tiller assembly was easy to assemble I added the oil put in gas and off to the New garden spot. It started right up and tore into the ground like nothing. One thing I did was to remove the break bar as it seemed to get in my way. Overall a great machine very powerful will get the job done in record time. Remember to use the reverse for ease when backing up or turning just like a car.
