Ambient Weather YG315 Traditional Weather Station

Had digital before these are very accurate and don’t need batteries anymore.

This is our second barometer of the very same design. The first was great for 14 years and always reliable.

I was amazed at how nice this item looked. It looks expensive and it works well. I am happy with this purchase. I do have one small complaint. When I tried to acclimate the barometer to my area by using the key, it is difficult to move the little pointer arm. It would jump to the next number when I would try to move it a couple of points. But once I set it, then it work well.

First the good - thermometer works great but they always do. Barometer, to my greatest surprise, was very accurate and fast, though you DO NEED to tap it often, but as long as you do, it is really accurate according to my local weather station. Hygrometer spring however is not sensitive enough. No matter how you set it up after calibration, the entire range of the hygrometer is 20%. If you make it show 95% with a hot wet towel around it, like it should, it will drop down no more than to 75% after towel removed, when my dehumidifier and my other hygrometer shows 45% in the room. If you set it to show 50%, then even with a hot wet towel it will not go up more than 70%. I like the looks from a few feet distance. Looks expensive. It is misleading though, because once you touch it you see it is cheap plastic and bad stain. Either way I like the looks. Hygrometer is the most important dial for me though, because I have serious humidity problems in this house and have dehumidifiers in almost every room. This just doesn't work for me. Sending back tomorrow.

we could not get barometer to work. called Ambient support. returned call within 15 minutes. Matt, technical support, said a new unit will be shipped to us, no charge and did not have to return defective unit. This was one of the easiest problem solving events I have encountered. Kudos to Ambient and Matt. Highly recommend this product because of their excellent customer support. Mrs. Jerry Jones Received new unit and and it was perfect!!! Thank you Matt!!

it works well and is suprisingly accurate. of course the barometer is not dead accurate and you have to tap it like the instructions say but its pretty close for how cheap this thing is im pretty impressed. the temp and rel humidity dials are practically spot on or they maybe a little off but not enough to matter, not at least to me.
