There is a good amount of padding on the part of the harness ...
From the write-up I got the impression that this harness was soft and padded. There is a good amount of padding on the part of the harness that sits on the back, but the straps that go on front of the chest and under it are not padded at all. This is where the padding is really needed. The padding on the dog's back is nice. The reflective stripe is a nice touch. The handle on the back is a convenient feature for controlling the dog as you connect and disconnect the leash. I ordered the red harness. The harness is black except for red trim on the back piece. It is very easy to put on and take off, much easier than any other harness I have used. It seems to me that the harness that does choke the dog when he decides to pull makes it easier to control the dog than this one, but I don't think choking the dog is good so I'm happy to pull a little harder on my end to keep him in line. My dog is a 72 pound 15 month old Pit Bull. He is all muscle and a real hand full when he wants to go somewhere other than where you want him to go. I am able to control him with this harness. There were no instructions included with the harness, but I don't think you will need any. I think you will be happy with it. Shipping was fast, almost as good as "prime" (3 days) for me.

Great Harness!
45lb English bulldog - He loves his harness! Donβt let the sulky sleepiness fool you. Very durable- He has been chewing on the top piece (but heβs a bulldog so he chews everything) overall great harness that has helped cut down on him pulling or jumping up etc. Will order another once he chews through this one.. π

Good Harness for Bulldogs
Pros: easy to put on. It just goes over their head and clips on their undercarriage so you don't have to fumble with anything complicated like double snaps or positioning it a certain way.The handle is a nice touch. Sometimes when our bulldog tank is playing at the park, we'll grab him by the handle if he's not listening. Gives great control.Sturdy, easy to clean, holds up to mud and rough housingCons: its slips and slides from side to side. Sometimes it ends up on his side, especially if he's pulling. I think it causes some mild chaffing when this happens. There is an "HDP" stitched into the top. I wish it was Tank's name instead. The HDP just looks strange.

Alphie Loves It
The chest strap is a little high for an English bulldog, however, he prefers it to his previous harness, so that's the one we go with.

Do NOT waste your money!
I had ordered 3 other harness' from this company and since my grandtr's dog is here 7 days a week I ordered this one for him.. Tried to cancel the order after trying out the other 3 for the first time yesterday... 2 of the dogs were out of these harness' before we left the yard.. Awkward, poor fitting. In order to return the last one ordered without even opening the package (the other 3 have dog hair on them so they are non returnable) I have to pay a 15% restocking fee.. Do NOT waste your money!

Good harness but zero "no pull" effect
I like this harness but it doesn't have even the slightest "no pull" effect. It does allow my dog to pull without choking herself, which is good, but she actually pulls harder since the pressure is now directed against her chest rather than her neck. You don't have to take my word for it, you can see from the design that the leash attaches to a D-ring on the back rather than on the front as is the case for other "no pull" harnesses. The upside is your leash won't get caught under your dogs legs but the downside is it doesn't redirect the dogs pulling force the way an actual "no pull" harness would. When I ordered this harness I figured it had some sort of special mechanism that stopped the dog from pulling but it doesn't. Some people praise the harness for helping them to control their dog but they're referring to the handle on the back which is helpful but, again, does not reduce pulling.

Sharp plastic finish hurt the skin of my dog
I will send it back. It damaged the skin so bad. Only few hours of use. I recommend to be check the interior.

Easy To Put On - Sturdy Harness
We have two 75 pound senior dogs and their old harnesses were something out of my nightmares. Untangling each one took an engineering degree and then putting it on each animal was a test in both agility and patience. By the time the harnesses were on, we were ready to forgo the walk altogether, which sucked. As an extra special bonus the harnesses seemed to encourage our youngest to pull even harder on his leash. He runs about three to five miles every other day, so pulling was a constant battle. Finally, we switched to these HDP harnesses.*The sizing was tricky. Both our dogs weigh the same, but one was an x-large and one was a large. Make sure to measure, because the size of your dog's belly and chest does matter.*Putting these harnesses on and taking them off is a dream. Our older dog who has arthritis looked at us with appreciation because it took just two seconds to snap her in, instead of the three minutes with her old harness.*The handle is so convenient. Even our vet commented on how slick it was when she was examining our youngest.*The strap on the chest is not padded, but honestly it does not matter. There are no sharp edges and it is adjustable. We have not had any issues.*The harness does not eliminate pulling, but it does help refocus their attention to their chest when they do start to pull harder. We are using it as tool along with verbal commands to slow down during our runs.**We are also having a backpack custom made for our youngest to go along with the harness, so he can get the most out of his runs and carry more weight and we hope this will help with his urge to pull.

VERY happy
Arrived within 8 days of order so that was a nice surprise. Not cheap but work a treat. I have 2 crossbreeds who are half Samoyed (sled dog breed) so pull like a steam train on ordinary leads, also when they meet other dogs they have a tendency to lunge if the other dog acts aggressively & can easily pull you over, im 15 stone & I have struggled with this in the past. Not any more, the fixed handle allows me complete control, they cant pull in a different direction so I can stay balanced and they cant lunge.I modified mine slightly by adding a very short lead to the D ring, long enough to reach my hand, but short enough not to hang down too far on the dogs. The result is that when I want them to have a run, I just let go of the leads, when I want to get them back on the leads I just tell them to stop and pick up the lead end, much easier & quicker than fiddling about with lead clips.Pics attached showing the short leads I tied to the harness.

Cannot fault the supplier or the product ππππ
Placed order in uk on 5th August, arrived 11th August.... that is good service with them coming from USA...I bought one of these years ago for my Doberman and she has always been good with it. So I decided to buy another two of the same for my labradors... well happy with them. The quality has not dropped, they are very well made.. I seriously recommend these... and the sizes fit perfectly after strap adjustment... well done and thank you to the supplier..

Perfect fit
I had been looking for a harness to fit my bulldog for a while now. But hadnβt been able to find one that fitted him perfectly, until now. I would recommend this harness as the best out there and itβs not overly expensive which is value for money. Very impressed and satisfied.

No more struggle
Great product, had one previously bought this for my brother who admired my own due to not having to struggle with dog to put legs through. Just loop over head and fasten behind front legs, easy. Is adjustable large fits my rough haired colour and brothers stocky Labrador.

harness
Ordered this harness for my dads Labrador.it arrived quickly which was impressive as it was from Newyork, lovely quality and well made. Unfortunately the dog wasn't happy with having to wear it and refused to walk with it on much to our annoyance, and no amount of coaxing or bribes with treats would persuade him otherwise.however I can see that it is an excellent harness and for a less stubborn dog would be a good perchase
