Only for special needs
Is an interesting product, but considering the price, it doesn't sound as I expected. I understand that this technology is difficult to implement and that it can't sound like some other products on the market, for example sony or AKG, but in terms of sound the Xiaomi Pistons are better for me and for a much lower price. So, I only can recomend these if you really need to ear whats is happening all the time, but it will not sound like other products at lower prices.

Cool tech; likely wouldn't buy again.
Cool technology. Kind of eerie how they work and the sound is decent. Though, the carrying case is VERY bulky (hard to fit in my bag). This would be good for exercise, but not good for subway. There are a pair of "in ear" bud that attach, but they are not as good as other "in ear" headphones.Cool thing, but I probably wouldn't buy them again.

A little disappointing for the price
I purchased these primarily because I wanted to invest in bone conduction technology, and I would encourage you to invest in the tech too, it's a totally different audio experience! That said, I wouldn't recommend these specifically. My disappointment with this product was primarily because I set my own expectations too high. I had hoped that the audio in/out options would be usable to line into the headset and use it without battery. I had also hoped that the line in would carry microphone traffic back to my phone, but that did not happen. The line out also does not allow for use of headphones with a mic attached.Basically if you're looking at this product for anything more than Bluetooth bone conduction, you'll probably want to look elsewhere despite it being the only model with options to support line in/out.Further, the sound quality on these was FAR less than expected, and less than even other bone conduction headsets. The frequency response on these starts at 60hz -- yes, that means for those with regular human hearing, you're loosing 40hz of your available spectrum - this is a major bummer if you like music that has any kind of bass to it. Other bone conduction headsets offer frequency responses starting at ~40hz which is (to my understanding) the limit of the technology at this point.

Healthy way to improve your work
There are perfect for work, I can be in the office and listen the radio or music andalso can hear my co-workers. And when i have to go to de fabric, (becose i'm workon [...] , a stove fabric) i can't use head phones, becose of the hi noise of themachines, and for the security of our own health we need to use ear plugs, andwhend i use that and the "HeadBones" i hear much better and healthy.Mmmm, I'm not sure if that situation it's secure but it's nice be the only one who havethis kind of tecnology.

Great idea, but needs more flexibility.
Product seemed fine, but it's not really adjustable. My husband's head wouldn't fit, and since everything is one piece of molded plastic, there's no straps or anything to adjust it.

Everything worked great until the battery fails
Everything worked great until the battery fails, now it do not hold the charge. I read two other reviews telling the same but I thought that it was only bad luck, now I'm sure is a design problem. I wrote to product support a week ago and received no answer yet.Find nowhere what type of battery, how to change it or where to buy it.DO NOT waist your money here.

A really, really good design ruined by really, really bad audio quality
I have owned several bone conduction headphones and comparing them to the others I've tried, which are all of a very similar design, these stand out. The physical design of these is just great. The ability to fold is great, the adjustable ear pieces is inspired and truly useful. They sit will (on my head) they hold in place really nicely, the buttons are easy to feel for and press. I love the ability to use them as wired headphones instead of connecting via bluetooth is excellent. They feel like a quality product that will last. It is such an awful shame that they such a great physical design is ruined by the worst audio I've ever heard from any headphones.Having had several bone conduction in the past I know what to expect and what not to expect from the audio. I know that there will be little or no bass response, that is normal, there will be a lot of highs and mids in the sound. These however, sound AWFUL in every way. I sent the first pair back immediately as I was sure there was a fault with the speakers. ANY low or bass sounds just distorted and buzzed. It's like inside they have old-fashioned "loudness" volume control that they have turned up to 11. EVERY single bass sound just distorts and buzzes, distorting music to make it not just bad to listen to, but actively unpleasant. The second pair I've had of these are exactly the same as the first. I'm no audiophile, but even to my ears, the sound quality is just atrocious. Bone conduction audio is never going to be high fidelity it does have limitations- but these just sound terrible. Even the built-in "voice" to confirm pairing distorts when she speaks. It is SUCH a shame as well. because I really like the design of these, far more than any other pair of bone conduction headphones I've bought. If all you ever listen to is Radio 4 and audiobooks, these might be ok (although I doubt it). When there is no low or bass audio they are reasonbly clear and crisp, but if you want to listen to anything else, any music whatsoever the audio quality will just make you angry and frustrated with ever distorted beat you hear.Update: Bought another pair from a different manufacturer for around the same price as these. They don't feel anywhere near as sturdy or good quality as these, but the audio quality is a million times better.

Not bad for the price
Although a bit bulkier than I expected, it is very light weight. Its a nice feeling being able to hear what is going on about you and still hear the music. with normal earphones either the traffic noise drowned out the music or the music drowned out the traffic noise, this is a happy median for me. I've only done one run so far and I was out for a bout an hour, the headphones felt comfortable throughout. The only criticism is it is a little awkward to adjust the volume or select next/last track as the controls are at the back of the head.eriod tried contacting the manufactures on their website, filling in the online form and also have registered the product, no reply to either the product registration or the several contact efforts. Down grade my rating because a)Failure in such a short time and (b) lack of response via website carrying out correct procedures. yes I have checked my spam/junk settings to ensure no blockages.Update 02/02/18Eventually Damson got back to me, and to be fair, quickly resolved my problem. I sent my headphones back and a replacement was sent after their assessment. I'm happy with the out come as I like using the headphones, particularly when cycling as I can hear my music and the road traffic.

Not chuffin' bad for the price
China born, Yorkshire bred.I've not yet compared against a competitive product, but I'm very happy for the price. I've listened to music and podcasts, and used the phone also - all worked fine. Not as comfortable as padded over-ear headphones, but after 2 weeks, they were fine for a 2.5 hour walk/run. They feel heavy in your hand but are fine when wearing them and they stick to your head like a whippet's gob round a rabbit, so they do not fall off when running. The instructions say 'Headbones should withstand sweating or a heavy rainstorm. Suitable for extreme sports', but I'm told I don't sweat much for a fat lad anyway. They come with a hard foam case.I use them for walking the whippets & cross-country running. It's great to be able to hear what's they're up to and you can hear horses & cattle approaching too. If you turn them up too loud, they shake your teeth out of your head, particularly at 100-150Hz.6-Month updateThe battery still lasts 7 or more hours continuous use.I just found out that they can pair and connect to both my laptop and phone *simultaneously* - but if both devices play sound then the one already playing takes precedent and you don't hear the other. If wearing something with a high collar, the battery pack can chaff & knock the pads off position - this is my main gripe, but not a biggie. If you plug in external jacks, they need to have a small body - some chunky cables didn't fit the casing.Still really pleased with them.12-Month update.765km run with these all year roundStill love them. The rubber bung for the power connector broke off a couple of months ago, but not a big deal.

Much preferable to my standard bluetooth earphones!
These really are a tremendous product.I am no audiophile but do listen to a range of music from classical to vocal to pop and the quality of sound is very satisfactory for all of these. The volume to is more than enough for most situations. Where it starts to fail would be activities such as cycling fast down a hill or mowing the lawn but there is always the genius option of connecting a more standard set of earphones (included in the rather useful case). In fact, there is something about feeling the vibrations of the music that gives the experience a reassuringly physical and 'present' dimension that is more characteristic of live performances. Putting in the earphones just makes it all feel a little muffled. My main criticism would be the scant information on how to achieve a desirable fit as I was not exactly sure where they were meant to connect for optimal listening. I am still playing around with this a little but working it out.I have also had the opportunity to use the hands-free function during a cycle ride, the quality was impressive for both of us in the conversation and no need to fiddle about with positioning the microphone to shelter from the wind or move closer to my mouth.A great purchase, thanks Damson!
