First SSD ever, and is currently one of the fastest available.
*EDIT* Surprisingly, just yesterday morning this drive failed to boot. Would not show up in the BIOS at all. Tried different SATA ports on the motherboard, different power and data cables. My SATA III hard drives and DVD/RW drive would all boot using same cables and ports however. Failure after 5 days of use easily less than 300 GB of read/writes. Not going to down rate this drive at all however, it worked flawlessly and was incredible fast and responsive until it failed. Contacted amazon yesterday and replacement is already out on the truck for delivery. Return rates on SSDs are around 3% for Corsair at the moment, and the return rates on the particular kind of mechanical HDDs I buy is at almost 10%. In 3 years, I have had not a single bad HDD arrive DOA or fail on me yet. I just got bad luck this time. But I will stick with this SSD since the replacement is on the way, and Corsair is hands down one of the best brands you can buy. If I have anymore problems I will of course post my findings here. *END EDIT*My first SSD. Installed in a new Ivy bridge gaming system just yesterday. Of course plugged into one of my two SATA 3 gen (6 g/bit second) port on my mobo. Some people whine and complain about slower speeds. Make sure you are plugged into the correct ports, and that you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard installed. My benchmark for this drive using CrystalDiskMark with 9 passes of 1000MB files:Sequential: Read: 516.2 MB/s Write: 450.5 MB/s512K: Read: 377.8 MB/s Write: 443.0 MB/s4K: Read: 28.60 MB/s Write: 109.2 MB/s4k QD32: Read: 356.7 MB/s Write: 342.8 MB/sI highly recommend this drive. Of course using it as a storage drive is silly, but for a boot drive and mainly used programs/games this drive is not only the 2nd fastest I know of (Samsung 840 Pro is a bit faster) but Corsair is pretty much the most reliable brand you can buy from these days.

Great SSD but seems to have caused system instability.
I've had this SSD for 6 months, I was expecting a lot from the drive and it delivered but it also seems like the drive I bought might be defective. Before buying the ssd I was installing this on a rock solid system it never had instability issues that would cause crashes, having had used the system for 8 months before without a single blue screen. After installing this ssd my system has been crashing randomly maybe once or twice a month, a few times a week or a few times an hour. I've ran a few programs to check the health of the ssd but nothing is showing a red flag. I'm at my wits end with this drive now and will be contacting corsair's support more than likely ending up rma'ing the drive back. The drive is very fast both read and wright speeds, at the time a good price per gigabyte. I had planned on running two of these in raid 0 but changed my mind after seeing how fast a single drive was. I was talked into buying a 240gb drive over a 256gb more for being reliable since it was already factory provisioned. But after having issues I wish I had gone with the Samsung drive I was first looking at.

Just Get It
I was using a Corsair Force 3, which is very good, but I wanted to clone it "just in case".The Corsair Neutron GTX with 128M cache and Toggle NAND just Screams! My Win7/64_Pro Experience Quotient even went up from a 7.8 to a 7.9Used in conjunction with "Macrium Reflect" backup software and it's integrated cloning tool, the whole operation took 17 minutes.Corsair Rules!* UPDATE *I purchased this in March 2013.Now, Sept 2015 (2.5 years later) it is still working Flawlessly !I'm a programmer and work with large database intensive applications, and this drive has been Great; not one single glitch.I also live in the country and we get a fair share of brown outs, spikes and outages -- but I also have my machine running from a medium quality UPS and a high grade power supply. My point is, this drive has been wonderful.Tip: Web Browsers create Enormous amounts of writes to the disc. Find the parent folder of the cache and create a symbolic link to a separate spinner disc and you'll extend the life of your drive by saving many thousands of writes per day from the SSD.

Bought two drives, one DOA
I bought 2 of these about 45 days ago for a new system I am putting together. Unfortunately one of them was DOA. I didn't actually use them until after Amazon's 30 day return policy. The Corsair RMA process was fairly painless. It cost me $11 + change to ship the drive UPS ground insured back to Corsair. I am awaiting the return of my drive. I believe they stated 48 hour turn around plus shipping time. So I am estimating a round trip replacement time of 12-14 business days. The other drive installed fine and performs nicely running Windows 7 Ultimate (no Win 8.x hear). The OS install was very fast. The base install Win7+SP1 was complete in under 30 minutes. After install 163 hotfixes downloaded and installed in under 45 minutes.Boot time is amazingly fast. When the failed drive returns I will be using it as a mirror drive for the OS.

good specs, but weaknesses
I looked at Crucial, Samsung and Corsair. I wanted ssd that I could use into my next computer. Samsung and Corsair stand out in speed. However, if I buy more ssd (2 more computers in the house are still using hdd and fine), I would buy the brand that comes with free clone program and decent adapter tray that is big enough for desktop pc bays. Corsair fails in both.I just like to add: Acronis True Image clone software has a bad reputation for leaving data in the registry (after uninstall) that can mess up your computer in certain situations. If you had to restore the computer, I believe. This was being talked about in 2012. If you are looking at Acronis, research thoroughly.Corsair, as far as I know, does not use Acronis. I just added that about Acronis for fellow Amazon reviewers.

Nice to begin with
Nice to begin with, but eventually filled to capacity. Replaced it with a 500GB Samsung SSD. If you don't have too many programs and they're small in size, this might be o.k. for you. I only used it for the OS and programs; most of my data is stored to ordinary HDs.

Very good performing SSD, reliable and fast, trust worthy quality unit
Super fast SSD, have this approx 2 years now and its been very reliable. Its proved maintenance free, hasn't slowed down and spoils me for speed. I use it in my home PC which has a lower spec CPU than my Work PC, however my work PC doesn't compare for speed.I use this for my operating system and software. Also use it for my favourite games which makes them load exceptionally fast. I use a 2TB hard drive to store all my music, videos and photos, which is fast enough performance. WIndows updates install so much faster compared with a hard drive. Full reboots only take approximately 15 seconds, the PC is then at full speed.I bought Corsair because its a brand I felt I could trust, a brand of quality. There hasn't been a day thats past in the 2 years where I haven't appreciated the speed of this drive, would love one for work, but sadly work bought me a different brand which is nowhere near as fast.

Brilliant SSD. I replaced my old HDD (WD VelociRaptor) ...
Brilliant SSD.I replaced my old HDD (WD VelociRaptor) and have even noticed a difference, even with the old HDD being extremely quick! No problems installing!I have a Corsair case and the SSD slotted in and screwed in great, all holes matched up and no problems with fitting. This comes with a gorgeous bracket attachment, which you simply screw the SSD onto and it fits perfectly into any HDD tray/slot. The bracket has the Corsair logo clearly visible; it looks nice when you slide your drive-tray out to show off your new SSD and the Corsair logo is printed on the tray.It comes with all screws required for fitting - both for fitting to bracket, and bracket fitting to tray.NO wires includedSilent running!Treat yourself to a new SSD - this SSD - you and your files deserve it!

Amazing SSD (even compared to other SSD's)
Recently bought a new laptop - noticed the bottleneck straight away was the 5,200RPM hard drive so looked around for an SSD. This seemed to be top of the reviews and speed tests and I can say, it's an amazingly quick SSD. It has different technologies to that of the regular cheap upgrades. It's very simple to install (at least for a Sony Vaio it is) and comes with everything you need. To give you an idea from a cold boot, pressing the power button to being on the desktop is about 5 seconds which is impressive. Things are a lot more responsive. I recommend this other the other cheaper SSD's as they don't give anywhere near the same performance.

Lightning fast ssd
This was a replacement for an earlier 120 Gb corsair force 3 ssd as capacity was becoming an issue. I used the corsair toolbox to clone the old drive onto this one which worked surprisingly well. It seems to work a lot faster than the force 3 which is no mean feat. I've had no problems with crashing. It was easy to install, very quick and is everything I have come to expect from corsair.

Great Product
I am a big fan of corsair products and use them wherever possible, my old SSD in my main system packed in so I needed a replacement and I was only going to get a corsair drive, I use these in 2 other systems I run.The only downside is that I regret ordering it with amazon as it has took much longer then it should have done to arrive and amazon logistics claimed they attempted to deliver but they never showed. It took multiple conversations with amazon support before it was delivered.+ Great Product+ Great Price- Amazon Logistics
