Antifreeze Refractometer - 3-in-1 Coolant Tester for Checking Freezing Point, Concentration of Ethylene Glycol or Propylene Based Automobile Antifreeze Coolant and Battery Acid Condition

This refractometer is light weight and reasonably easy to use, I was unsure how good it could be based on the price, boy was I surprised. I compared it against a good hydrometer to check anti freeze and liked it better. I would add that it is a fragile instrument so should handle with care and keep it in the case when not in use. I am going to make a good solid case to keep it in as the plastic case that comes with it is very cheap made.

This refractometer works just as well as the high priced units. Zero it (adjust the zero reading with the adjustment screw) when you first receive it, clean it after each use, follow the simple instructions, etc. and it will serve you well. It may take a bit of trial and error getting used to it, but the effort is worth it. All in all, it's a very nice product.

The item needed to be calibrated upon delivery but once it was, it's worked flawlessly ever since.

Came out of the box accurate, tested with distilled. Measure my radiator fluid and it was about where I thought it was 56%. Like how I can tune that to 50%. Almost there and this tool makes it easy.

Nothing to dislike. works as advertised! Easy to use, sturdy design, compact in size and light in weight, convenient to keep up and carry around. Very accurate, useful tool to check the strength of the glycol on my chiller.Thank u!

I never did use the refractometer as the case broke the first time I tried to close it. Case was very poor quality and I prefer to keep tools like this protected, so it doesn't work for me. Returned it for a refund.

Product appears to be well made. You do need a bright light source to read. I used a LED shop light and that worked well. Instructions are clear and well written. Comes in a nice storage box.

I’ve seen similar refractometers that sell from anywhere from $60-$100These work great and for a fraction of the price!!!
