SUCK UK Book Rest Lamp, White

I purchased this as a novelty gift for my partner's Christmas and was pleased overall with the item. The light is a great feature piece and does in fact provide a more than adequate light. It is also significantly cheaper than the other porcelain "lamp" animal you can buy from retailers such as John Lewis, almost half the price in fact.The quality of the lamp itself is excellent, made from a sturdy and thick procelain however the light and electric chord attached do not quite match this quality. The bulb is LED but sits loosely in the rear of the rabbit (ouch) and could easily pulled free by a small child. Also the USB power supply unit feels a bit cheap and loosely fitting causing the light to flicker if bumped.The lamp is currently sitting on the bedroom shelf and working great, my only reservation would be if small children were around the loose bulb and flimsy wiring would not last long!

Cute lamp, but weak regarding the electric installation. The light bulb is not held in place by anything, it's just "hanging" in the bunny. It would have been safer with a screwing mechanism or something similar. The porcelain work itself is good, but it is not the most stable once the wire is underneath. The nice thing is that you get different plugs and an usb adaptor, practical if you don't have a UK socket at home. Another down side: I clearly hear the current whistling through, I need to unplug it at night or it gets annoying. To sum up, I'm a bit disappointed. For the price I expected something sturdier.

It's a basically a Porcelain rabbit with a cheap USB torch stuck up its bum. It's fun but not particularly practical. The light does not fit securely in the rabbit and the cable routing is poor. I am concerned it would be easy to break but, so far, it is unscathed. My view is that it is expensive for what it is (£47.10 when I bought one). A good bet for rabbit fans though.Pros* It's a rabbit. The kids will love it.* Useful switch on cable.* Bright enough.Cons* Expensive* Seems fragile* Light has poor fit.* Cable a bit short.

Simple, charming idea which is let down by the contrasting 1970s Soviet era big clunky black light fitting with black flex and 2-pin to 3-pin mains plug adaptor. I appreciate this has to be a global product with different electrical fittings for a variety of countries, but better solutions do exist: I replaced it with a cheap slim white fitting with white flex and plug which no longer clashes with the product. This finishes it off to the standard I would expect to pay £35.00 for. A thumbs up for supplying a CFL bulb so that you can use the product immediately but, even so, it's currently overpriced as an out-of-the-box product.

The lamp comes with a florescent light bulb, but I wanted the light to be dim-able. I put in a regular bulb, and the lamp becomes rather warm. The bottom is open for access to the light bulb. Therefore the bulb sits very close to the table. The 4 stars are really more to do with how I want the lamp to function than it's actual function.

Lamp came as requested, but was delivered with completely the wrong type of bulb. As its supposed to come with a bulb included, it kind of makes it useless as a lamp if its boxed up with the wrong kind. Had to go out an buy the right one from the local supermarket, and now I love this little light!

This is really cute little lamp! but it’s stopped working already :( and I’m not sure how to change the bulb so can’t use it at the moment

Its a great little present. Works well. I agree with a previous comment though, the electrical connection is grossly out of proportion to what is needed and could be made much nicer, simpler, smaller.I'm happy with it, gave it as a present and it is used and enjoyed!
