SkinCeuticals Protect Ultra Facial Defense SPF 50 Plus 30ml

Hey it's the wild, wild west when it comes to sunscreens. Yes, it still is. It has always been this way.If you think there is some government agency making sure the claims on your sunscreen are valid, stop kidding yourself. You need to be your own advocate and read ingredient lists, and beyond that, know that Mexoryl combinations with this level (or any level really) of protection like this are really hard to find in the United States. I am so glad my friends at Subha are importing this. Keep on importing it and I'll keep buying it!Every year I go on a sunscreen quest. I used almost the entire tube of an Anthelios Water Cooling Cream (US formulation) before I visited the EWG and saw that it was rated an abysmal 7. As a European formulation, this Ultra Facial Defense is not rated by the EWG, but Europeans have long had more photostable sunscreens because of a greater number of organic chemicals that they can include, such as Mexoryl SX, Mexoryl XL and Tinasorb S. I have bought some LaRoche Posay formulations with these ingredients from a Canadian company, but I am so glad to have found this SPF 50 Mexoryl combo from Skinceuticals! So glad that after putting it on once I came back here and bought three more tubes of it.This is a nice white cream that leaves no white residue. I have read that Mexoryl lasts much longer than US formulations without it. I believe putting this on in the morning will protect me until the sun goes down.

My skin's sensitive, this moisturizer doesn't burn usually but it leaves a residue on my face and isn't as moisturizing as I'd like

I was very disappointed in this product. Small container for cost. Limited sun Protection. Now using as a arm or leg moisturizer

Easy on and off. Light cream and blends well on face. No residual

Pros:-Doesn't irritate my sensitive, eczema prone skin-Applies smoothly and easily spread-Absorbed within 5 minutes-Good moisturiser-would be fine under make up-no scentCons:-On darker skin, leaves an ashy look. Does disappear though as absorbed quickly-expensiveThe best sun screen I've tried in a long time. I'm sticking with this to get me through summer months.

This cream is easy to apply and is absorbed readily. It is comforting to red and agitated skin. It has rained since it arrived so I can’t tell if it blokes sun suitably. I have pale colouring so I have not noticed any white residue . It has certainly dealt with cream on top. So as I was told is what I got. A complement to the person who recommended it.

This is a great sun block cream, essential for your face unless you want to age prematurely. It doesn't make your face clown white and has a opalescent hue. Not at all cheap but worth it.

Best suncream ever. Works really well. Nice smell. No oil.

Recently had skin cancer on my face and looked around for the best product. This is great and easy to wear under makeup. I would like a larger version as it is quite small but goes a long way.
