The glass shade was larger than I expected, but looks great and works great. Such a pretty floor lamp!! I don't particularly like the floor switches on lamps, but this one has the switch far enough out on the cord that you can stick it out slightly under a piece of furniture to reach it if you want the lamp behind a chair or table. It has a very heavy base, too. I have 4 cats and was worried about them knocking it over. It is sturdy and steady enough that they leave it alone. When it arrived, the box was slightly damaged, so I was concerned about the lamp. But it was packed so well that there was no damage. Assembly was very easy. I also love that the glass shade is positional - perfect to get the light where you need it. The price I paid on Amazon was lower than other places.

I just purchased two of these lamps and they are beautiful. Contrary to reviews stating there is plastic construction and the shade is plastic, the lamp base is metal and the shade is plastic. Having said that about the shade, it sure fooled me and is truly beautiful. The shade is lightweight and a glass shade might be too heavy. For the price and the beauty I think anyone would think the shade was glass until they got VERY up close to it and actually felt it. My only concern is the mechanism for positioning the shade as it seems a little fragile for such a heavy shade. Having, said that, I only plan on positioning the shades once so we'll see what happens. I purchased these lamps as reading lamps beside two reading chairs. I was concerned about using only a 60 watt bulb so decided to use a (dimmable) LED bulb (100 watt equivalent) because LED bulbs do not heat up. The switch for the lamp is a step-on floor switch but the plug accommodates a dimmer and the table dimmer works perfectly with the lamp left in the on position. I did read some reviews complaining that the instructions were not adequate. I think the instructions for assembling the pole are adequate. The instructions do appear to be for a different lamp but perhaps all Amora floor lamps are assembled in the same manner and therefore the instructions are generic. Assembly of the shade to the lamp is not at all clear but with some thought I was able to figure it out. The instructions indicate there is a washer ring and socket ring. For this particular lamp there is no washer. Shade to lamp instructions: Note some pieces are plastic so be careful not to over tighten. 1. Remove the plastic socket ring from the plastic socket. One of my lamps came with the plastic socket in place and for the other lamp it was not in place. Once the plastic socket is in place you will be working with 3 pieces, the shade, the metal ring, and the plastic socket ring. 2. Fasten the plastic socket to the metal socket on the lamp if it has not already been put n place before shipment. 3. Place the lamp shade on the lamp. You made need an extra pair of hands for the next step. 4. Place the metal ring into the socket. The smooth overlapping edge should be facing down. 5. Fasten the plastic socket ring with the finished edge facing down. The lap shade should be securely attached to the lamp at this point. As a point of reference, the dimmable LED light bulb I purchased is a heavy bulb and it does not have any effect on the shade or the lamp.

I love it, it’s beautiful! Super simple to put together except we had some difficulty installing the shade. The instructions were clear though, it just required patience to screw it on correctly. It’s surprisingly heavy and that’s a good thing. Very stable. Love the colors in the shade and the way it looks when it is lit up.

Its a nice piece, but I was displeased with the last picture in the image showing a green stone, but the one I got was all clear. The green color was one of the main reasons I got this lamp, I was looking for that vintage look. The lamp shade was smaller than expected, but I was pleased with the base, it was sturdy and the color was better than expected.

It is easy to put together. It has style and function. It gives your room more personality. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes this style.

I am not sure I expected the clear glass pieces to be rippled, but this adds iridescence when the lamp is on. The stained glass pattern is neatly arranged, and the overall effect is elegant. I had a little difficulty putting the lamp together by myself, but it was doable. The bottom section of the lamp shaft twisted onto the base very loosely, at first, but tightened as the rest of the shaft was added; yet not fully tightened as the rest of the shaft was. The base is heavy and all the parts sturdy, but I did not feel comfortable picking the lamp up by the shaft because of this. Nevertheless, the lamp slid into place and is both lovely and useful in its adjustable position. The floor switch is somewhat convenient, but it would have been nice to have another, not-on-the-floor option.

I was looking for something that was different, beautiful, low light because I get migraines, and to go with my primitive/rustic look and this is PERFECT! It gives enough lighting to see in my living room, and it’s covered just nicely to where the bulb isn’t in my face to give me migraines. The top of the lamp is adjustable to move up and down to your liking. I also love that the button to turn the lamp on can sit on the floor so I can easily use my foot instead of having to bend over all the time to turn it on by hand. I do wonder if I’m able to swap out the shades and will look forward to doing so in the future if it’s possible.

Está muy bonita, me hubiera gustado que tuviera más altura, en cuanto a los materiales el único detalle es que la base con la que se fija la pantalla se me hace de un plástico frágil, considerado lo pensado de la pantalla, espero no se caiga.
