LENOX Tools Hole Saw Extension Chuck, 10-Inch x 3/8-Inch (3084310X)

Good extension hole saw, worked well and sharp enough to go through tin metal a few times. It was perfect to fit within my drill chuck and just as easy to remove. Delivery was fast.

Great product, sturdy and of high quality. I definitely recommend the Lenox brand.

Did not come with screw or something to tighten bit to extension

First off, this 10" arbor is made to fit the 11/32" hex found on most hole saw arbors that are made for a 3/8" chuck. This is the age old standard unless you went for the larger 7/16" size. Lenox has never been good with their documentation and specs, but the tools are great, and so is this extension. (side note, there never ever used to be any 3/8" shank hole saw arbors until DeWalt got funky for whatever reason...)Disappointed to be misled by the product listing photo which shows the product made in USA with a pinned joint - what I received is made in China and no longer a broached/pinned setup but a one-piece. Seems ok after a couple uses so hopefully they didn't start using cheese steel on these. The socket fits snugly and fully with my arbors from Starrett, Lenox, and Morse...and they spin true. I may replace the grub screw with one that has more bite - poor choice in this one and you have to torque it pretty good.This slightly shorter 10" size is convenient...I may still just buy the normal 12" Starrett extension when I can find one at the normal price (about the same 10-ish as this arbor currently) because I know those are high quality steel and still made here at home.I was surprised to see Lenox went for China on this item since they still make the saws here...and then I remembered that B&D bought them up a few years back. Black and Decker (including, for the most part, DeWalt) has cheapened up everything so much, it's just a shame (going to point half a finger at Milwaukee here as well...). The line between tradesman and DIY has grown super thin and it's frustrating trying to find high quality tool accessories these days.

A great addition to the tool box. Recently had need to run a whole saw where a drill would not go. This extenstion(s) answered the call.

Ok so if your using hexadecimal bit this works good. If your not and you have Fastenal 3 sided bits, the bits won't fit things like step drill bits. So I carefully drilled the center to allow more round style drills. This is steel vs the aluminum one I had but I found this to be rather short for my needs but I make due.

WOrks great. Had to drill holes thru joists. The extension allow me to drill the second hold after the initial outside hole.

I used it to cut two 8cm holes through 35 cm logs to vent a propane fridge. No surprises and it worked as expected. The grub screw stayed in place. Chuck held correctly and the hole saw auger (Milwaukee) was solid. Not much else to say, it did the job it was supposed to do.This is the Inanimate Carbon Rod Homer Simpson wished he had.
