I love this hair dryer!
I had a Revlon hair dryer that looked just like this - retractable cord, folding, same wattage. I can’t remember when I bought it - it was that old. I’m thinking it was about 15 years old because I bought it at Target when they had just opened near me which was back in 2011. Well, it finally died. I searched and searched and finally found this one. The big plus with this dryer is the variable speeds. I tried out many hair dryers on my search. All hair dryers have high, low, and off, but that’s heat. For almost all of them, the force of the air doesn’t change. Low or high heat, you still get blasted. I have lots of fine blonde hair with a loose wave and a good number of cowlicks that affect that wave differently on any given day. When a hair dryers blows hard, it blows out the wave, sucks out the moisture, and leaves my hair with no body and completely dry and lank. Not so with this dryer. Low is truly low - enough that I wouldn’t need a diffuser - which is good because (1) I hate using diffusers because they make the dryer hard to manage and (2) it didn’t come with one. This dryer gently dries my hair without sucking out all the moisture, leaving it soft and wavy - exactly how I like it. The retractable cord works really well - in fact, you have to watch you don’t get your fingers pinched when it zips up into the dryer. The rear can be unscrewed for cleaning. Folding was a little stiff and took some getting used to, but it fits perfectly where I stored my old dryer. It’s my old dryer all over again - just a little smaller which makes it even easier to travel with. And it’s teal! One of my favorite colors. I’m so glad I found this.

Great deal! UPDATED
I bought this blow dryer because I had the exact one before which lasted 10 years after being kept in my bathroom cabinet (used 6x a week) or thrown into a bag when traveling. I accidentally dropped my old blow dryer from about 2 feet off the ground while using and it turned off and wouldn’t turn on again no matter if I reset the buttons on the plug. It’s smaller than many others available but what I like most is that the handle folds and it has a retractable cord. This-like the smaller size-is wonderful when traveling. The cord isn’t as long as I’d like it to be but I understand extending the length would offset the girth of the handle it retracts into. When pushing the retract button, you’ll have to guide the last 6 inches or so back into the handle. It’s really not much to complain about and a rather small price to pay for the convenience of not having to bother w a long cord especially when packing/traveling. There’s also a cool shot button which comes in very handy when you need a quick cool off. It saves me from standing in front of the oscillating fan for a few minutes. The blow dryer has 3 speeds and does a very good job of drying even though it’s not a full size dryer. I have very long, thick hair and this dryer cut my 20 minute drying time by 5 minutes. I know it doesn’t sound like much but anyone whom dries their hair on a consistent basis knows cutting down your blow drying time by 5 minutes is extremely helpful. I was lucky enough to buy this blow dryer while on sale for $18.99. I highly recommend this to anyone especially those w small hands or whom doesn’t like to hold heavy dryers. Hopefully this one will last as long as my other one-if not longer! + I’ll update w any pertinent info Update: 2 years later and I’ve had zero issues w the hair dryer. It both folds and the cord retracts as advertised.

So much to love except that it doesn’t last long
Like several others I love this hair dryer for so many reasons - foldable handle, retractable cord, full power usage and fits my favorite full size diffuser. Sadly, I too have had two of these in a row that stop working after 8-10 months. I did try 2 other possibilities but I think for the price and all that I like about this one I’m on my way to ordering a 3rd one. Meantime, Conair - can you look into this issue???

The Teal Wind Machine That Made Me a Husband Christmas Gifting Pro
I bought the Conair Cord-Keeper dryer for my wife as a Christmas gift, which felt risky—right up there with buying a vacuum or a cooking utensil. But this little teal beauty turned out to be the hero of the holiday morning, just narrowly being beaten out by a Black Hills gold necklace I also gifted her. First of all, the retractable cord is pure sorcery. Instead of the usual spaghetti monster of wires living around the sink and posing significant risk of life, you press a button and zip!—it inhales the cord like a polite vacuum cleaner that went to finishing school. My wife thoroughly impressed.. I took credit as if I personally engineered it. The folding handle makes it perfect for travel, which is great because my wife can now bring salon-level power to hotels or any location where she needs to look fabulous while I locate the nearest coffee. At 1875W, this thing blows harder than my college kids arguing over politics at Thanksgiving—and yet it’s quiet enough I can still hear my beloved KC Chiefs lose yet another Christmas Day game. After the initial joy of her discovering the retractable cord, I flexed and informed her it is ALSO dual voltage—which means it doesn’t just dry hair, it crosses continents. Not since the invention of luggage with wheels has a tool expanded our travel horizons so dramatically. Suddenly Europe doesn’t look like “that place with weird toilets and tiny cars”… it looks like “where she can achieve hair perfection at 220V.” Paris fashion week?? Tokyo sushi tour?? Bring shampoo. The ionic technology is apparently very important—I don’t fully understand it, but my wife says her hair is smoother, shinier, and “less like a frightened alpaca,” which I assume is high praise. It’s also surprisingly quiet; I think I already mentioned being able to hear the TV while this drier is ionically fired up. Color-wise, the teal is classy without screaming “I was an impulse buy in the airport.” And it’s light enough that she can wield it like a professional stylist instead of doing overhead press at the gym. Bottom line: My wife loves it, her hair looks amazing, and I’m now batting 1.000 in the gift-giving league. If Conair makes a version that also remembers anniversaries and takes out the trash to perpetuate my temporary Christmas hero level gifting, I’ll buy two. Five enthusiastic, well-dried stars.

Everything about it works super.
I have had this a couple of weeks. It works perfect. It dries my hair quickly. Noise level is fine. The size is great. The Cool Shot, 2 Heat/Speed Settings, Retractable Cord, & Folding Handle work perfect. It also has the Ionic Conditioning. Definitely a value for money. The look is nice too. I am very glad I bought it & would buy it again. Turquoise Color, Conair Cord-Keeping Hair Dryer w/Folding Handle & Retractable Cord, Ionic Conditioning

Disappointing
Good while it worked, didn’t last. The cord wouldn’t fully retract after just a couple of times. Which was doable, but then after just a few months usage the switch froze. I couldn’t just it off so I had to unplug. Very disappointing Luckily I slways keep a back up.

Great hair dryer!
This is the second time that I am buying this. The previous one lasted me for over seven years which I had used almost on a daily basis! Very durable, does the work, and is travel friendly (including international travel, given that it has dual voltage). I would highly recommend this product.

Not sure the designer had human hands
Overall this is a good dryer. It has three settings. High. Low. Cool. To use the high setting, you press down, and to use the low setting you press up. Which is backwards from pretty much every other hair dryer in existence. Usually it's either opposite or both settings are pressing upwards just in various number of notches. So you're probably going to get that mixed up constantly. Also to use the cool setting the button is way way up at the very top of the handle right at the nook. So you have to stop what you're doing and adjust your hands completely into a new position on the hair dryer. Because I'm pretty sure whoever designed this hair dryer doesn't actually have human hands at all or else they wouldn't have designed it like this. Or else whoever used it has never actually used a hair dryer because it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever how they did these buttons. It does fold up but the first time I tried folding it I could have swore I was going to break it because it took some real muscle. It is not compact. It's a full size dryer it just happens to fold in the handle for whatever that helps you with. The cord does pull in but it doesn't go in all the way. I attached a picture to show how far the cord goes in but this is actually me pushing the cord in a bit extra. The button is on the top part of the hair dryer which is again... A really stupid design because that part can get hot if you have used the hair dryer for a while. So you have to wait for the hair dryer to cool down and then go back to retract the cord. But after you retract the cord (and be careful so that the part that plugs in doesn't whip around and whiplash you), if you continue to hold the button down you can actually push the cord in a little bit further but even if you push it in it doesn't retract all the way. Even pushing it in the furthest you can get is how far I show you in the photo. But other than the extraordinarily weird button placement and the weird way you have to continually hold it in order to hit all those buttons since whoever designed this doesn't actually have human hands... It does work pretty well and I don't have any other issues with the hair dryer . But next time, they should really get a human to design this.

Keeping it simple, compact and tidy.
If you are a fan of efficient and tidy gadgets, then you will like this blow dryer too. Cord extends 5 ft., which is enough for me (considering where my outlet is located), but length might be a factor for others. Cord retracts easily by pushing the button on the side and near the top of the dryer . Handle folds up for easy and compact storage/packing. What you see is what you get (no extra attachments). This dryer is a reasonable weight and not as heavy as many others I have had over the years. Two heat/speed settings and a cool shot button are all I need, but others may prefer more choices. Has dual voltage switch for worldwide use. I ordered this dryer in turquoise/teal, which is a lovely, subdued shade (not neon, tacky or harsh looking). The lint trap isn't removable, but will be easy to clean by wiping or using a vacuum. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase for home use and I look forward to how compact, convenient and tidy it will be for travelling as well.

Me encanta
