I’ve read the reviews on these string of Pearls and my main worry is it being infested with gnats as some people have stated. Why do they have gnats

you don't treally have to worry about the gnats...these were so tiny they died within a few days of receiving them! They don't put enough of the plant in to even give them a chance to live. The picture you see? It's laughable. I got some from my local nursery and then also found some at Krogers...both are thriving and growing like mad. Don't waste your money on these!

Can string of pearls be grown in water

I've propagated a stem of String Of Pearls...i dont think its possible to grow then in water long term.beautiful plants they are!

What if plant has soil gnats?

If your plant has soil gnats let the plant dry out completely and the gnats will die. Soil gnats live in overly wet soil but will not harm your plants.
