Karman Healthcare R-4602-T-BD Aluminum 2-in-1 Rollator/Transport, Burgundy, 8" Casters

I purchased this unit several months ago for a 92 year old lady. She had a smaller wheeled unit. It didn't handle bumps and breaks in the road well while pushing her around. Most breaks required turning the unit around and pulling her over the break backwards. This R-4602-T-BD is a very good unit. It has the foot rests (pull or push down to use), a positive breaking system and comfortable for the passenger while pushing it or being pushed. The only disappointment is that the 8 inch wheels don't handle the pavement breaks and the like much better than the smaller wheeled units. Something in a rubber wheel with a wider stance would likely correct that annoying problem. One must be on guard when pushing someone in order not to jolt them or perhaps pitch them off the seat onto the pavement. The lady really likes the upgrade from the smaller wheeled unit to this one. In my opinion the unit is worth the money.

Just purchased and received the product. We have not used it extensively but seems to be all that advertised. The assembly was easy and works well as a rollator and as a transporter.

The previous medline rollator I bought is better in terms of quality.

I ordered the Karman Healthcare R-4602-T-BD Rollator/Transport for my 90 year old mother, and received it this past week. I was impressed with the quality of this product and the ease of the assembly of this unit. This should provide her with the right piece of mobility equipment for the remainder of her life, and quite possibly mine, if I should ever need it. The extra features of this product outshine a basic rolling walker. The large basket is easily assessable. The flip down foot rests make for a safe and easy way to transport a person when pushing with the push bar handle, as I don't have to worry about her feet dragging when pushing her. The large wheels aids in walking and pushing as well and for going over uneven surfaces. These are some of the features that my mother's other walker (from the local pharmacy) didn't have and that's why I decided to upgrade to this unit. Thank you for a fine product.

The only drawback is that the brakes don't lock unless you are holding them. It tends to roll backward on a slope - my husband put big clips on them so he can lock them if needed. Comfortable, easy to use. We are happy with it. I will say the first day he had it (my husband has dementia) he decided that he should back down the neighbors driveway and toppled over into the rain gutter. My grandson came across the yard yelling Grandpa Alert, Grandpa Alert. Grandpa was not hurt, neighbor was in a complete kerfluffle. She had tried to convince him to move forward not back.. Hoever I would say - go forward not backward on a slope. :)

This rollator is a piece of junk. Bought one and was replaced under warranty the first month because of a defective handle. Replacement just as bad and within 4 months the second one the handbrake cable broke and the wheel brake no longer held and could not be adjusted. Even while under the 6 mos. warranty, Karman would not honor warranty nor do anything to help.Don't waste your money as this unit will not hold up to even minimal use.

This is a really great rollator. My mom has issues with walking distances and it's great because she can sit when she gets tired and I can push her as if she were in a wheel chair. It is really nice

Great rollator, but heard it was recently recalled by FDA.

I wasn't able to move it without effort due to the lack of mobility of two of the wheels.

The product is well made and comparable to similar walkers at a much higher cost.
