Good for Audio
I'm someone who wanted to also use this device while gaming, not just higher fidelity audio. It was somewhat confusing how this device works with chat/calls, so I will do my best to explain now that I have one.Broadcast mode seems to only sync up with Avantree headphones, which I don't have.Bluetooth mode has two different settings: Audio mode and Talk mode:Audio Mode: My current headphones only support Aptx (not Low-latency or HD), but this device does support older Aptx-only headphones as well. The audio sounds great. The range is solid, and getting everything connected was easy. This is the mode that most people are probably wanting to buy this device for as will provide better audio quality than standard bluetooth (if you have the right headphones). Qualcomm has an aptx website that will list all of the device that support this technology.Talk Mode: Talk mode will turn on automatically when you open a program that uses the microphone (Like skype or a game with chat enabled). You can also enable/disable talk mode by double pressing the button on the device. Talk mode seems to disable the aptx functionality. Since my headphones don't support low-latency or faststream, everything sounds pretty terrible in talk mode. I am able to chat with the built in microphone on my headphones, but the game audio sounds muffled and echo-y. I also tried a phone call with my wife and that didn't sound too great either. A lot of bluetooth headphones don't have great built in mics, so that could be contributing, but the audio running while in talk mode is pretty annoying. I don't think I could game and chat with someone at the same time which it sounding like that. The device will also automatically switch to talk mode whenever you open a game and you have to reach over and double tap the button to switch it back, which is also not super convenient.I may end up just buying an external microphone because I like the high quality audio that this provides. However, if you are wanting to just use the build-in mic on your bluetooth headphones, I would say that I would recommend just buying a standard bluetooth dongle.

Great Product
To my surprise this turned out to be a really great product with a company that has fast and great customer service. The product has a very throughout instruction manual. I have air pods and I used a usb 4.0 dongle but still experienced audio to video sync lag when watching videos, so I wanted to find a USB 5.0 dongle of some sort to see if that would help with the lag/latency issues. This device is not a dongle, but acts like a sound card that transmits audio from your computer. The range is great, the connection is great, the sound quality is great and most I notice no video audio lag on most videos I watch now( and this is using air pods that don't even work with the low latency aptx). I am really impressed. I did have an issue, for some reason with air pods gen 2, when adjusting volume, there is a lag with the volume to be adjusted, so when settings your volume from 40% to 60% it'll take about 5 seconds for it to register the volume change. To remedy this I just leave my volume around 70% and just adjust the volume within what ever video i'm watching. Customer service was really good about communicating with me about this and they are working on a fix. But for two wireless air pods, I am impressed that this device does such a great job with them. Even when turning on your mic on your computer, the device automatically changes the airpods to mic mode on the computer. Oh, also, this is a strong blutooth device, meaning, if you have your air pods connected to your phone or other apple devices while this device is plugged in and on, this device will have priority and disconnect you from other devices. So I just unplug the device so this doesn't happen. Overall, this has been a good experience. I recommend this device. There are very very few blutooth 5.0 adapters of any type out there. This one works, just know that this is made for audio only, but the audio is really nice.

nice concept, user interface could be improved, some interop issues
This product supports many codecs, which is both blessing and curse. This is all controlled by a single button that must be double tapped before and after the headphone/headset is connected. You need to recognize a color and flashing sequence to decode the mode. So, why is this important. My primary use case is for a headset, using the Conambo aptX HD headset. If I power it up in the correct order, making sure the right color is blinking and then double clicking the button to switch to headset mode, it works great. Problem is if I don't do that setup right, I can run into issue.First, there seems to be some interop issue between the two. The light will go solid white, indicating Low Latency, Faststream codec. The headset does connect, but audio is significantly delayed (multiple seconds) and distorted. This mode does not work even though it negotiates it.. However, the aptx HD (blue) seems to work fine. If you get the right power up order, you can get it into aptX-HD mode (3 blinks) and works perfect for great audio.I suspect this works well with their products. But, third party bluetooth products can be a headache.Of course, if you want to talk with the headset, you need talk mode, which is double clicking to get the fast blinking. Again, in this mode, works great.Problem is that you need to know order of pluging in, turning on to get the right modes. Instead, it would be much better to have a slider switch where I can preselect modes. Then, when I plug it in, I can immediately go to headset mode without button fiddling.

Good but I bought for 2.5k one year ago. 3x increase today
Its good but it isn't THAT special to warrant such a hike.

Good all round performer - one particular annoyance
I bought this product specifically for the purpose of using with my Sony WF-1000X 3M earbuds. I’d been using the 3Ms for music playback with an Intel NUC8i7HVK (Core™ i7-8809G/32G HyperX Impact DDR4/ Samsung 970 PRO Plus 512GB NVMe M.2). While this is a pretty high end performance kit it only runs BT 4.0. I use FooBar to play music with a quite high proportion of HiRez content (DSD, DXD and other high bit and sample rate files). However I simply wasn’t satisfied with the number of glitches I encountered in BT playback. Tried a number of attempted remedies such reducing bit depth and sample rate, fiddling with other DSPs, driver updates and so on but it didn’t help.By contrast, since using the DG60 playback has been completely trouble free – not a single instance of drop out or distortion, etc. And it really is plug and play in Windows 10. However I’m not all that impressed with the BT connection process. Normally if the BT device is brought close to the DG60 connection is established but it is not is as obvious that connection has occurred as it is on most other devices I use. In other cases an associated app, or audible message/indication of connection is provided or specific LED colours are displayed. However the DG60 relies on white or blue lights for multiple situations. Rather unhelpfully, the Manual includes this advice “Ensure that DG60 is in Music Mode – The LED will -flash every 5S (sic) or stay solid.”Overall though, the DG60 does exactly what I wanted – works reliably and provides an acceptable level of sound quality irrespective of the file format – I usually use FLAC but also DSD, ALAC (m4a) and WAV. Sometimes I use MP3 or AAC but that's pretty infrequent. If there was a 4.5 option I’d probably settle on that but given there is no such option it seems closer to 5 star value that to 4.

Best solution for problematic integrated PC bluetooth
Using Sony's top of the range wireless BT earphones is a great experience for most users, but some Windows PCs integrated BT radios don't play nicely with the Sony software. The only solution is to add a BT dongle, and the Avantree DG60 has the best combination of latest BT system and codecs, plus extended range. This has been one of my best recent tech purchases and I can recommend it fo anyone who just wants to improve their BT experience with PC or Mac.

Seems To Have Issues With Normal APTX
The idea of this product is good but i can't recommend it especially at this price. First of all the range isn't as high as it states i have a big open living room with nothing to block the signal and even used the usb extender cable to keep it above my TV. Starts cutting out slightly then gets crackly etc this is at the other end of my living room...The above is not my only issue with this either, when sitting close to it i notice it seems to have issues with normal APTX even though it is supposed to be able to handle the codec. First of all the white light flashes twice every 5 seconds but nowehere in the instructions does it tell you what blinking white light twice means, i googled it and found on their website for their products it states it means it is connected via APTX-LL but i only have earbuds with normal APTX and not the LL latency ones so why it shows this i do not know as the manual states it supposed to blink 3 times if it is connected via LL. Secondly the volume seems way too high with it to the point it distorts the sound which leads me to believe it has incompatablities with normal APTX connections i am guessing it hasn't been tested out enough by the manufacturers on normal APTX and only the HD & LL versions. Now lastly this was the last straw for me, it increased lag by nearly 1 whole second! This wasn't down to my earphones etc as i plugged in my ASUS 4.0 usb bluetooth dongle i haven't used in a while and that has more than half less lag this produces and it is a rubbish USB dongle that is on the old 4.0 Bluetooth! It clearly has faults with normal APTX mode so if you are wanting this for HD or LL headphones then this might work well i do not know but if you want it for earbuds / earphones then this is no good as only headphones have APTX LL for now all earbuds and earphones are capable of normal APTX only.

Great device, even better customer support
So I bought this as the cheapest but reasonable looking BT device for my PC so I could take advantage of aptx-HD to my Sony wh-1000xm3 headphones. It is really good, I don't care about range so much but the different modes, and particularly the led telling you what's happening make it simple once you know what you're doing. The online videos are most use to learning, and the manuals, but you have to read a few different pages/faqs/manuals to fully get your head around it. Essentially if it's three white flashes every 5 seconds you have the best quality audio. Double tap the button to switch to call mode. You can set it to broadcast to multiple devices if you want (haven't needed that).Best of all is the customer support. Mine kept dropping to low quality / call audio and I thought it was 2.4Ghz interference. I wrote to customer support (as suggested on their website) and within a few hours I had a comprehensive explanation of what the leds meant and what to try. Boom, fixed it in five minutes and then suddenly the manual made more sense.Top tip - I disable the DG60 mic in windows as I don't use it, and every time I made a bang or typed loudly the mic would pic it up and windows would switch me to call (low quality) audio. I use my webcam mic for calls anyway so don't need it. Now it's always on 3 white flashes every five seconds and I know I have the best audio connection you can manage to my headphones. Thanks Avantree, I was very impressed considering I half expected it to be some dodgy unbranded (to me at least) electronics. I'll look for Avantree products in the future.
