This is an Amazing sound system,well worth the money. My son's hockey team uses the ION Block Rocker in the locker room for pre-game pump up. You can feel this thing in the lobby !This Block Rocker unit is Loud and the Bass is deep and does not distort while running through blue tooth on our Apple products.This Block Rocker sounds Amazing and will Rock your face off and if you're not into the Block Rock'n loudness that this unit produces, you will crtainly enjoy the clarity and deep sound at a low listening level, sounds amazing.We have never used the included microphone so I can not comment on that.This unit is on wheels and has a telescoping handle and makes for easy times transporting this portable Rock Concert.The battery life is Epic, you will easily get 50 hours of use with out needing to recharge.I've never come close to needing to charge my Block Rocker, I do however plug it in after use every time.Keep in mind, the louder you play it and the more Bass you use with the downloadable EQ APP, your battery life may decrease, but not by much.Recharging is quick and yes, you can use the Block Rocker while it is plugged in and charging.In a nut shell, if you would like your neighbors to also listen to AC/DC while cleaning out your garage or if you have an athelete/team that appreciates locker room wall shaking, let's get fired up sound, this is the unit for you. : )This unit easily pairs with your mobile devices and the EQ APP that you can down load is sweet and it let's you customize the sound with more or less Bass or Treble at the swipe of a finger.I'm totally happy with this product, this unit shipped free and I received it in "3" days after ordering it.I hope this review helps you.I don't think you will be disappointed in this purchase.However, I can say that if you want

YES YES YES! I'm a professional nationally performing family comic ventriloquist, and I do a lot of shows locally. I have two medium sized sound system and a small one that often burns out. Last fall I did THREE EVENTS (Scouts, a community event and a church) and they all had THIS system. I was amazed at how good it was and could not believe the price when I asked them. They had gotten theirs at a big warehouse club store. I order a VERY large number of items on Amazon and tracked it down.Firstly, I see the price has gone up a bit from when I bought it, but it is truly a great bargain in price. Secondly, the mic it comes with is a piece of crap but I use a good Shure mic that I bought here on Amazon. It sounds GREAT. I don't use the bluetooth or music. I use it as a small system for smaller shows. Thirdly, it's amazing how much good sound you get out of this little unit. Fourthly, I have used and love the battery. I plug it in every chance I get but I've had some shows (like in a slew of recent southern CA libraries) where I couldn't. It worked PERFECTLY. I even used it Saturday night at a resort in San Diego County that has booked me for 20 summer straight. They put me under a gazebo. This was just as effective as my medium sized system.The downside which is NOT one for me is: you don't have bass and treble buttons. It does NOT weigh ton, but it not incredibly light. BUT you just pull out the handle and there are rollers on it. I'll know more about this system when I breaks one day: years ago I bought a sound system that was also Chinese made and essentially seemed to be a copy of a Fender system but cheaper. When it overheated and broke down after a year I found out NO ONE could fix it since the technology was so proprietary. I had called sound repair shops in LA and in San Diego and looked on the web. It went to the dump.IF you're looking for a good system to use as a PA this is great. I testing some of the music capabilities, yes it is a Block Rocker. I love it and could order a second one later this year as a back up and dump my broken smaller system which seems to periodically burn out.

I have two uses for this speaker. The first is just as around the house music player, where it never gets above maybe 1/4 volume very powerful. Great sound quality just fills the house.The second and main use for me is listening to music at my job sight. It is noisy, I run a saw, wear earplugs there is other saws goin, nail guns, etc. I keep it within about 7 feet of me at 2/3 volume and it is perfect. Yes it can distort at at that volume with songs with a lot of bass but it’s not bad.Great quality construction.Battery at home will last days at 1/4 or so volume.At 2/3 volume I still get 10 hours out of it unplugged which is my whole work day.Bluetooth works every time. It will charge your phone, BUT just know that for some reason if you charge your phone on it it can effect volume out put for some reason but only has been noticeable at high volumes and not by much.Mic works. Just great sound, good buy.

I got this to because I wanted a portable speaker system to travel with me to teach fitness classes in different locations. Very portable- has wheels and a handle (but it's not too heavy to lift in and out of your car). Love the bluetooth feature. The sound is adequate for what I need. I only need to turn the volume 1/3 the way up for a studio setting. People have complained about the quality of bass sound, but I guess I never noticed it. It also runs a long time on a charged battery but I plug it in most of the time. I did buy a separate wireless headset microphone since the Block Rocker only comes with a plug-in hand-held mic. At first, I couldn't hear the microphone over the music, but then I realized there are TWO volume controls for the microphone volume - one on the Block Rocker and one one the "base set" of my wireless microphone system (I only had one turned up). Definitely recommend for fitness instructors!
