Metra 99-7007 Single DIN Installation Kit for 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse/Montero Sport Vehicles, black

This says it will fit a montero sports id like to see a customer photo. This comes as one whole piece molded you cannot get it into the stereo opening without cutting it. there is no way to assemble for fit so this may fit an Eclipse but as far as a Montero Sport it won't work at all you will have to get something else

I bought this to install a aftermarket radio in a 01 Mitz Eclipse. I'd have to say it was not a perfect fit for either the new radio or the dash cover after the install. I had to grind a little on this and the new radio face plate. There's not a lot of choices out there for a older car and at the end of the day, this one worked.

This did not fit my 03 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

It's a very good quality product, it fits on my 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse spyder gt.only problem I had was that the product was a bit long on the bottom side and would not let me place the dash back together, fortunately nothing that a dremil wasn't able to trim and now it fits like a glove

Bought a Single DIN stereo for my son for Christmas but forgot the installation kit to install (was replacing a double din) Product came super quick and looks GREAT installed in the car. Can't tell it wasn't straight from the factory!

I purchased this dash kit through ABC Wearhouse audio department but they had to order it. I was told it would take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Well long story short, nearly 3 months, multiple phone calls, & some uncaring and unenthusiastic employees, I got my money back and purchased this kit through Amazon. For a couple dollars cheaper even!!! It showed up 3 days later and I had my new system installed in no time.I have a '04 Eclipse and the kit fits extremely well. It looks like it came with the car and fits just about any single DIN system. The little shelf under where the stereo goes is a nice addition. It's a great place for an ipod, iphone, GPS, sunglasses, or garage door opener.I have purchased a ton of things in the past year or two from Amazon and hey have yet to disappoint!!

Surprisingly, this kit feels strong, and fits perfectly without any issue. I installed this in my 2003 Eclipse GTS with a Kenwood deck, and it worked just fine. And like i said it's surprisingly strong, i thought it'd be a flimsy piece of plastic, but it really has some strength to it. I'd buy it again if i had to.

Works well however I mounted it with the storage slot at the top. I had to file the opening of the stock surround in order to get it to fit around this part. Looks great and works well.
