It works great

I was concerned about getting this because of the bad reviews but there were good ones also. My sun conures talons were just so sharp and long and I couldn't bring my self to wrap her up again to cut them, they were so sharp it felt like little needles thru my shirt and she was leaving red pin pricks on my skin. But last time/first time I wrapped her in a tshirt to cut them and I was nervous the whole time and she wouldn't talk to me for a couple of hours, I felt horrible but I did it without problems. So my husband has a sum Conure also and felt the same way. So I thought I'd give this a try and pray for the best. At first she didn't like it, was scared of it. I'd put it close to her while she was on my finger and she would lean back as far as she could without falling off. So I kept it around whenever she was out and kept it beside her cage the. Few days later inside. She wouldn't get on it at first so when I'd put her up at nite I'd put her on it, again the first time she leaned back trying to put distance, while she was holding onto it! Lol. Anyway a couple days later I went to get her out and she was on it herself. 2 days later, I'm not exaggerating, her nails no longer stabbed me, still a little long but no longer sharp. By the following week they were nice and trimmed. I couldn't believe it. Now she's on it all the time like its her favorite place to perch. It's supposed to be good for their legs and feet too. Still working on my husbands Conure.

When I received this the scratchy surface was already chipping off. Not very sturdy for an Indian Ringneck as he likes to chew. Maybe more suited for a smaller less destructive bird.

My greys has super sharp talons so sand perches are must. She loves this perch and a lot of times chooses it over the natural or other perches in her cage. It turns her razor blade claws down very nicely

I tried to clean the bird droppings off the perch only to see the coating was wearing away and residue of the droppings remained. later I realized that the perch was too big for for my tiny bird; droppings were always caked on one side of the perch. I felt it was too unsanitary. Since my return date was past, I decided to just throw it out. It is very light weight compared to the other perches I've bought of this kind. I tried to snap it in half only to find that it wasn't made of balsa wood but an extruded plastic tube. The coating is barely glued to the tube, very poor construction.

I need help with my Cockatoo's nails. This looked perfect. I never found out as it was rendered useless when I attempted to attach it to the cage. The little screwy part to attach it to the cage broke before I even had it on half way. I also bought a larger one with metal parts that works fine. Plastic parts do NOT go well with Cockatoos in any event anyway and I should have known better!

Arrived snapped and broken. I also don't know what kind of bird cage this is suitable for it's a plastic screw and plastic disks which are easily chewed by big beaks and the screw portion is so wide it's not going to fit through the bar spacing that's needed for medium/small birds. Rediculous - don't bother with this perch.

Son las perchas que más me han gustado para mi loro.Se adapten perfectas a sus patas.Le mantienen las uñas cortas y se limpia muy bien su pico.Se adaptan muy bien a la jaula y son firmes y seguras.Se lavan sin problema.Te las recomiendo

we were on the floor laughing when we opened this because it looks like a giant d**** lol. its ok if you can forget what it looks like. good sand/grit
