Great canner for induction stoves
I've been very pleased with this canner so far. I bought it to replace my old canner that wasn't magnetic and didn't work with my induction stovetop. It's a pleasure to work with because of the nice rubber grips on the handles, it's heavy and sturdy but not too heavy to work with, and it's beautiful. It also works very well on my induction stovetop. The canning rack it comes with is okay but I've had difficulty with the sides getting in the way of my jars when I lower it down, something that never happened with my old canner. I may have to replace the canning rack in the future. After reading the other reviews I decided to not even mess with the label until the first time I used it for canning jams. This worked out marvelously. I carefully pulled the label off in one easy, continuous piece from the still hot canner and there was no residue. This is a beautiful, well-made canner for the price and despite the canning rack, I'm very happy with it. One more caveat, if you have limited cabinet space like me, you may want to pay attention to it's dimensions; I had to build it's own shelf inside my existing cabinets because it's two inches wider in diameter than my old canner and didn't fit in the space I had.

This is a great canning pot that I expect to last a lifetime
This is a great canning pot that I expect to last a lifetime. It's large enough to fit several jars inside and very well built. The rack it comes with is not stainless steel, so I would look around for one that is, but the one that's included is still good quality. I just assume after years of use the coating will start to wear off and then you'll have a rusty rack. And who wants a rusty rack? Anytime I buy things that come in contact with a lot of water I opt for stainless.Bottom line is you should buy this pot. It'll be the last one you buy and you won't have any complaints.

Dream Come True
I have been wanting this canner for about a year now.I had been hoping to find the canner for sale at some local store so I would not have to pay some outlandish shipping costs. I am so glad to have finally recieved it. I love the look of it even tho I don't have much stainless steel cookware. It is not too heavy or too light. I am glad it will work on my flat top stove. I have been busy canning jelly & other fruit this season already and I hated having to use my pressure cooker for the waterbath. I can't wait to use it. I did initally have trouble getting the sticker off of the front, but I used a magic eraser type sponge and was able to get all the sticky off without ruining the finish. You can't even tell there was a sticker there. The canner arrived in just a couple of days so I was really impressed with the fast and FREE shipping. Thank you so much.

Good things come in stainless steel
This is my first canner. I decided to buy the SS canner because I have seen those enameled pots and how they always chip no matter how much you try to take good care of them. The pot and rack in my opinion are of good quality and construction. It was mentioned about the problem removing the pot label. Most labels of that sort do require heat to remove them.To bad they did not mention label removal in the directions.I have removed labels of this sort with a hair dryer or a heat gun.Waiting to remove the label the first time you use the canner and waiting till it is hot is the most practical way to do it.This is the way I did mine as was suggested by others. The rack did seem heavy duty enough to me.Of course, you are supposed to remove the jars with your jar lifter one at a time and not try to lift all of them at once with the rack. There was just the slightest bit of discoloration on the rack where the wires cross,as was mentioned. Did not seem to be a big problem to me.I just washed the rack with the sponge scrubber at the same time as I washed the water staining from inside the pot. Some people complained about the water sputtering and boiling over. That was one thing they did mention in the directions.Item #8,Process jars in a gentle, controled boil.During processing adjust heat as necessary to prevent water from spurting under the lid while still maintaining a gentle ,controled boil.As far as the bottom of the pot warping for you flat top stove people,it was mentioned that you should let the pot cool to prevent warping. Hey!I don't know about that, but isn't that the obvious thing to do? I am certainly not going to try to cary a pot of that size over to the sink to dump untill it has cooled. I have enjoyed the canner and am looking forward to more canning projects. We did dill pickles and peaches so far. Apples are comming in season and we want to do some Applesauce and spice apples. We bought the Ball canning book and are looking forward to even more things to do with our canner. Norman R Lipkus
