Excellent quality. A year after laying a regular outside quality wire to a glass house it tripped our the RCD.Predictably some little critter had gnawed through it, it was normally turned off anyway, so time for something stronger.This cable is ideal, basically a domestic 240v, three wire in plastic cover cable encased in multiple strands of wire, each strong enough that you need to cut them individually with wire cutters, all encased in a rubber outer layer. It will do a bend over say 15cm, like a high grade audio RCA lead. To cut through this you use a Stanley knife to cut around the rubber casing, then trim each armour wire to get to the electrical cable within, easy to, just time consuming, but necessary for the strength that this cable gives you. At one end I drilled a hole through the garage wall so it could plug into a switched internal plug socket when needed with trip adapter. Other end joined to external quality cable junction box.Only minor issue is the wires are not colour coded in accordance with UK regs so be sure to be consistent in your connections at each end, so use brown for live, black for neutral and here grey instead of yellow/green striped for earth.So if you are after an armoured external quality domestic 240v electrical cable this is excellent.

Used this for my pond aerator and buried the wire in the garden under the lawn. Very good quality.

Great value cable. Relatively easy to work with, suggest letting the sun warm it up to help make it more flexible. I’ve used this to run a hot tub. Easiest way to work with it is with side cutters, no scissors will ever cut through this! One negative is the cable colours are not ce compliant being the wrong colour.

We needed a tough cable for outdoor use - to run mains out from the house to a greenhouse. This cable is quite difficult to bend and position but this problem only arises because of its strength and armoured nature.I have now positioned the cable in our garden and am very happy with it.Please understand that I am not offering any kind of electrical advice in this review. I am a trained engineer and would advise anyone planning to do something like I have done to use a trained and qualified tradesperson if they are at all unsure about what they are doing.
