Is the post motor filter suitable for a dyson v7 animal?

Mine is a V8 and they fit perfectly, no difference from the original ones.

Does the pre-motor filter (the long one) stay in place securely? A filter from another company falls out easily.

I have been changing every 5 - 6 months which feels excessive but otherwise the vacuum suffers from suction issues even.
