ProSelect Foldable Cat Cages 48" High- Purple

This is truly a high quality, professional grade crate for a cat. I bought this for an orphan kitten I am bottle feeding. It has plenty of room for one cat, a litter box, feeders and water bowls, as well as a hut for him so sleep in. It is very easy to assemble and erect, took only minutes. It's very sturdy and solidly constructed. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the casters, they're not the best. They roll fine but don't swivel well. They are new it might just take exercising them a bit. All in all this product is helping me raise to raise a very well mannered cat who goes potty where he supposed to and can't destroy my property while I'm at work earning money for jingle bell toys and catnip.

The Shelves are easy to place anywhere you choose, with some creativity and manipulation.Don't waste your time looking for the other cages on the market!The cages I mention here are all the same dimensions, the advertisement says it's 24.5 inches wide, but they're all about 22.4 inches wide, 35.5 inches length, and 48 inches high.I wanted a collapsible cage, that is Safe, good quality, easy to clean, with sturdy shelves, and have found it with the ProSelect Cage. I wanted something small too to fit in my room, this cage doesn't take up space and is roomy inside. (I recommend placing a couple of zip ties on the sides for safety).After reading the reviews, I read that some people had difficulty with placement of the shelves, and thought they were correct, until I realized I could manipulate it by removing all the metal clasps in the center/middle of the cage, replaced it with a couple of zip ties, which allows for easy placement of the shelves any where you choose.To make a wider platform, I placed the two shelves together with the straight sides next to each other, and placed them on the upper half level of the cage, (where the two bars meet, which is why I removed the metal clasps), where the top door opens, and I'm still able to close the door!The door opening is large enough to reach in and clean stuff out, the handle is easy to open and close. The only complaint about the door is that it doesn't sit completely flush against the cage, when leaving it wide open.The bottom tray can be pulled out from the front of the cage, which was smart design placement.The casters are easy to assemble, it wasn't difficult to figure out the parts and how they fit together.Overall, I'm very pleased with the condo cage, and highly recommend this cage. It's easy to put together, and take it apart for cleaning. Plus this is made in Taiwan.I also just purchased the Parpet Cat condo because they look exactly identical, and a little less expensive. I will review that condo once it arrives....(I wouldn't recommend the Amazon Basics, it was extremely heavy, what I didn't like were the shelves, they are separate and sit on top of the metal frame. I was afraid the plastic could be easily tipped over, and I didn't care for the design feature of the door handle, plus the bottom tray opens up from the side of the cage, not the front like the ProSelect cage, so I repackaged it and shipped it back!The next one I tried was the Midwest Cat Playpen, DO NOT waste your time with this cage, all the bad reviews are basically correct, it wasn't aligned, and had so many gaps in the corners and top of the cage, constructed poorly and cheaply made in China, and the shelves are cardboard, not sturdy at all! I would not recommend purchasing that cage at all for safety reasons!)

This is exactly what I was looking for to keep my cats safe when maintenance shows up at my apartment and doesn't pay attention to the front door or my cats! I also like the color and the fact that you have options for perch placement. I also love the fact that it can be folded back down and stored away. It could be considered a little heavy to some people but if you want a sturdy kennel that keeps your pets safe, including big cats like mine, it will need to be a little heavy like this. I am very happy with the purchase. I did have to return the first one I purchased due to the pan being cracked but Amazon replaced it immediately and the next one was perfect!

We foster for animals rescue, specializing in taming feral kittens, and this cage does a great job, mostly meeting our needs. It's sturdy and as easy to put together as any other cat cage I've used. We haven't tried to take ours apart, so I can't speak to how easy or difficult that is, at least not yet.My only complaints about this cage:-the shelves "removable" tray isn't really removable through the slot they designed so that you can slide it out. The wire that covers that isalmost impossible to maneuver up and down, making it more trouble than it's worth-the shelves are extremely difficult to put in and out or reposition. This can be a plus since I've also used cat cages where the shelves falloff if even a small kitten jumps up on them. However, these shelves take FOREVER to place or move. Perhaps, they'll get easier withtime, but right now, we've had to leave them where we originally put them because moving them is so challenging!Despite the cons, this is a fabulous value for the money, and I would honestly rather have shelves that not even two adult humans can move around than shelves that fall any time a cat or kitten tried to jump onto them.
