Real and raw struggles and joys of motherhood
The author captures the true essence of motherhood in its rawest form. She takes her readers through the emotional roller coaster every mother has experienced: the sheer exhaustion of sleepless night after sleepless night; the frustrations of daily, unplanned mishaps; the insecurities of motherhood when judgment from friends and strangers shadows your decisions; the responsibility entrusted to you to mold, protect, teach, and love these little lives in your care. Despite the struggles, the author's overwhelming love for her children and richness of motherhood shines through the book. I couldn't hold back tears, knowing that I was not the only mom to have felt these very real, very honest emotions. I put down the book feeling encouraged, uplifted, and mostly - no longer alone.

Soul Stirring
What I appreciate most about “Milk Drunk” is the honesty. This is no caricature of motherhood as either simply mirthful or simply monstrous. The view is panoramic. There is nothing epic here in the sense of a home run Hollywood script-in-waiting. Instead we find something much richer - glimpses into the epic adventure of the everyday. Mothers play one of the most vital, one of the most (dare I say) epic roles a human being can ever play in fulfilling God’s purposes. They are Kingdom expanders...sculptors of little minds, bodies, and hearts...stewards of invaluable goods. Mrs. Cochran’s letters tie the everyday mission of a mom to the heart of human experience. May this book bless the moms in your life as it stirs their souls to remember why their work is not in vain.

You'll laugh, You'll cry, You'll call your mom to thank her
Milk Drunk provides an unfiltered glimpse into motherhood with all its ups and downs, love and laughter, tears of joy and tears of frustration. If you are wanting a self-help motherhood book written by a "too-good-to-be-true" influencer mom, this isn't the book for you. This book is for expectant and new moms who need to hear that sometimes motherhood is really hard and that it is ok to admit you won't always be the "perfect mom"! This book is for seasoned mothers who want to reflect on the time in their life where their children were so small and growing into their personality. This book is for new dads who may not truly understand what all his partner is feeling during this time of change. This book is for everyone!

A rare find!
I absolutely love this book. It is so honest and in the moment. It really is a close up glimpse into a mother’s private moments and thoughts. This is a far cry from a Facebook perfect image of motherhood. This book is real life and takes you through the struggles and triumphs of being a young mother. It is like reading someone’s private diary. This would make a great baby gift for anyone!
