Paula's Choice CLINICAL Triple-Action Dark Spot Eraser 2% BHA Gel, Salicylic Acid & Hydroquinone, Hyperpigmentation & Skin Lightening, 1 Ounce

I have used an AHA gel and a Retinol serum for a number of years and both have worked well to keep my skin looking healthy. I am 48 and have occasional breakouts while wrinkles and sagging are a growing concern. Recently developed a brown spot on my forehead that just wasn't budging. In desperation I did some research and ended up at Paula's website where I found a wealth of info on the subject. I decided to order this from Amazon and have been applying it to the spot for a month now. All I can say is WOW! I kept my expectations low and made sure to apply only to the spot with a cotton bud but now I struggle to find it in normal light and need a magnifying mirror just to see a very pale version of what was there. I suffered no irritation or adverse effects so started also applying it under my jaw line where I have old brown marks and blemishes from acne. So far I have seen no big difference there but will persevere! I am hoping the BHA it will keep any future breakouts at bay. I only use it at night followed by high SPF lotion in the morning. I wish Amazon would ship a larger selection of Paula's Choice to Mexico as this is the only way for me to get the products.

April 15th 2015I am 25yrs old and was suddenly stricken with cystic acne for a few months. I was left with many scars on my jawline and cheeks and was totally devastated. I wanted something over-the-counter because its a bit of a hassle to pay for a Dr.'s visit and get a prescription for anything to do with acne as it is considered 'cosmetic' and my insurance wouldn't pay for it.I have only been using this product for a week and I already have noticed a significant change. Being of a mixed complexion it is harder to fade dark spots, so I won't expect for the spots to be gone for about another 2 weeks or so, but so far, I am quite happy with it and I expect great results.Pros:- Opaque bottle- Tiny nozzle for application on a q-tip- Already a difference after a week of applicationCon:- As it is a gel and not a creme, it tends to peel off if one isn't super gentle when applying sunscreen and foundation.(I have to put on my sunscreen, primer and foundation in a stippling motion as opposed to rubbing in and smoothing. I don't fret as I just make sure apply at night as well just as the instructions tell you to.)Will update in a few weeks.

I hate skincare marketing. It is so bloody confusing and there are too many companies, too much packaging, too many "this is THE product" claims. I started following Paula's Choice when she was writing reviews. Her product line used to be a "cult" following, but thank goodness she's getting the attention she deserves. This product is working on my age spots slow but sure. There is NO overnight (save laser) miracle for brown spots. Paula keeps her products simple and offers the highest amount of the stuff that works and not a lot of other fancy packagings (Hello- MOTHER EARTH!) and a great deal of customer support.

Great stuff. . I have very dull face and is very pigmented, uneven tone and age spots. Have been using for almost 3 weeks and can really see a difference. Skin tone is more even and dark dots have started to fade. My face finally a cream that works for my skin tone. feel very smooth and less dry. Great product for women of color, just like Dr. v recommendation. Have tried other face products that have left my mate more pegentated and dull.

Still waiting for this to be a complete success. A particularly dark spot has lightened by 50% And I am hoping for continued lightening.

I have tried countless products over the years that did nothing but irritate my skin. I had pretty much given up hope, when I saw Paula's Choice products. I love her dedication to quality at an affordable price. So, I bought this spot remover with very low expectations. I was happily surprised - within a couple of weeks, several spots on my face have faded to the point where I don't need concealer before I head out the door. Thank you, Paula's Choice!

I saw a reduction in dark spots (acne) within a few weeks with this product. Tried others but cream-based ones just haven't worked at all for me and other gel ones (Murad) ones seem to have lost their effectiveness. The only drawbacks are that it takes a while for this viscous gel to be absorbed into my skin, and it can feel sticky if I apply too much, and the opening in the tube is too wide for the consistency of the product, resulting in too much coming out at once. But, since it has made a big difference in the size and tone of my spots, I am thrilled with it. My spots have not completely disappeared but they are much less noticeable than before I started using this.

*i am 24, have normal to dry skin*i discontinued use after a month- they recommend using at least 2 months.*saw results in two weeks.*this gave me never-seen-before blackheads and rough skin texture which started to clear right after i discontinued use.*did clear brown skin patches*didnt clear brown sun spots.
