I bought this back in 2019.This is a great double curtain rod. It's solid. I have it spanning about 10 feet and it works great. I can use my blackout curtains if I want or if I want to let light in but not have anyone see inside I can pull them back and use the thin curtains. Install is fairly straight forward. Screwing the hangers into something solid is always the most important part. As long as you're not going to hang off the curtain rod. The plastic drywall plugs should work.. My personal choice is a metal corkscrew drywall anchor. Very strong, self drilling and no pilot hole needed. You do have to be responsibly accurate with them since after the small screw that will hold your hanger on will screw into the anchor.
